BOG twice in 2 days?

We are headed down in Oct with my 12dd, 9dd and 6ds. My 6 yr old has never been. We are doing first two days in MK. I have a lunch at BOG for first day and dinner there for second day.

I know it’s personal preference, but, we definitely want to do dinner before HEA and see the Beast on the second night. But, for lunch, the day before, I just don’t see any better options for lunch unless we just do a CS lunch. I was thinking we could dine in different rooms to change it up. I think the theme and decor are so cool. Dumb idea? Is it a waste to do BOG twice?
I went for lunch and wasn't impressed, small portions and expensive and food not that great. I would love to go again but for dinner just to see the Beast. I'm disappointed that as of July dinner is no longer a ala carte. It would be too expensive to buy full meals for all of us to see the Beast so either only boys will go and girls go to Cinderella in future stay, or maybe Disney will finally have Beast in another location as well.

Did BoG for lunch on our arrival day this past Sunday, did PPO BoG breakfast yesterday (getting on 7DMT earlier was a nice ancillary benefit) and then had dinner there later in the day. Don't know when we'll be back, but definitely wanted to hit up dinner before the Prix fixe kicked in later this year. If you want to do it multiple times, go for it. Doesn't matter what others think, if you feel it is worth it to you and your family, ADR away!

Personally, I wouldn't go to BOG once, but it's nowhere near my top of favourite restaurant list. But that's me. :-) But since that is not what you asked, my answer would be to not do it twice in one trip (and I would say that for any restaurant) and that's because I always have a list longer than I can get to of places I want to eat that I wouldn't want to sacrifice another experience to do the same one twice.

All that being said, if you love BOG and want to eat there twice and don't feel like you'd be missing out on somewhere else you want to eat, then go for it. You are getting two different experience/meals with one being QS and one TS, so it's not like you're doing an exact duplicate.

I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan so BOG is definitely a draw for me. I have never done lunch there, but plan on it this trip. Normally we do a ppo breakfast and a dinner. With the new prix fixe menu we won't be doing dinner. Right now we have lunch planned only, but might try to add it for a ppo breakfast if one pops up.

We like BOG and have eaten there several times but not in one trip. If you are particularly looking for CS for lunch, I think it’s a good choice. If How ever you are open to TS for lunch, we really like Skipper Canteen and The Plaza.

We did eat in BOG two days in a row in one trip (once for breakfast, once for dinner). It was a bit too much of the same thing for us; don't think I would do it again. For us, we like the imagineering of the restaurant better than the actual food (like to see the rose, the changing beast picture etc.) and the second time that trip felt very been there, done that. Food-wise, dinner was much better than breakfast, in my opinion. I have not done the lunch, but since it is counter service I don't know if it would be much better than breakfast.

I've always enjoyed BOG, and the pre-ordering made it a winning combo. There's not a lot of places to choose from at MK, when you simply don't want a burger, a hot dog or tuna/fried shrimp. I'm not eating at Tony's, I don't really care for buffets. BOG fit the bill and I don't find it to be anymore pricey than what's available. The braised pork, the French dip, the braised beef were tender and flavorful, beats Pecos Bill any day. Now, when it changes to TS, maybe things will be different but till then... if you enjoy it, eat there twice!

All of the input is greatly appreciated. I feel like I scheduled most of our ADR’s around the themes rather than the food. We have BOG, SAI, T-Rex and Sci Fi so far. I just feel like, with the kids, it’s all about the scenery. I’m going to stick with it for now. Will be a Gametime decision.
