BOG question

I have a ADR for 8:30am with the park opening at 9am and I really want to take nice pictures qround the park before it opens. Can I just go to my reservation, order something really quick and leave? Like order a coffee and some pastries and leave the restaurant before 9?

Not all areas of the park will be open prior to park opening.

Just take your pictures before your reservation.

They usually start letting all PPO reservations in at 7:45 regardless of reservation time. In my experience, this has been true. Those who want to get on a few rides early could do breakfast and then feel free to roam around or get on a couple of rides early. If the pictures are what's important to you, take them first thing and then do breakfast after. Breakfast in my experience (adults only) has never taken more than 30 minutes, especially with the preorder. Being in MK that early with so few crowds really is magical! Enjoy!

You can order a coffee, but the only "pastry" available is a cupcake.

You can order just coffee or a cupcake...it seems this is a popular way to access the park before it opens even if you aren't really interested in BOG or the breakfast.

Yes I've heard of people doing that. However, we have a 8:05 crystal palace on a 9am opening day. Another Group I am on told me not to get my hopes up about empty parks pics, they're becoming more and more rare

We had 815/830 breakfast reservations at BOG. We entered shortly after 8 and got amazing pics infront of the castle. The only person in the background was a maintenance working doing some sort of wiring set up. It would probably be better to enter earlier (like someone said, ADR area llowed in 745 regardless of your reservation time). You are chancing the after with the rope drop crowd as they sometimes let them in early too. We were there late Aug

As others have said, you should plan to do the pictures *before* your breakfast time. If the park has a 9:00 a.m. opening, they will actually have rope drop at about 8:50 a.m. There's no way you'd have enough time to check in at breakfast, get your food, and get back out in front of the castle before the masses started making their way down Main Street.
