Just wanting to double check my information. We have a BOG ressie for 8:45am. Plan is to be at MK at 7:45 to get in for reservation. I haven't seen anyone say they couldn't get in earlier then their actual reservation time for breakfast. I've noticed people saying there is a long line to check in once you get to BOG. Any idea what time that line starts to get long? The whole reason for the ressie is to get in good position for 7D. So I'd hate to get there and be held up. I know there are no guarantee that we will get a ride on 7D but want the odds to be in my favor.

That is not a good reason to have an ADR only 15 minutes prior to park opening.
You may or may not be let in for your ADR 45 minutes early and if you're not then I certainly wouldn't count on being in and out by RD.
Besides often times a PPO ADR turns into a golden hour ADR as MK tends to extend hours.
My suggestion would be just do 7D at RD and forget about BOG PPO.

It all depends. If you are going to MK on a day that has EMH, there is no big benefit. If you are going on a day that has EMM (the paid event-extra morning magic), you might be able to get to the standby line before the RD crowd, but the people who paid to attend will be using the FP line until 9. If you are going at a busier time, hours can be extended...changes are made up until the day of.

The whole ADR system is very fluid once you get closer to your trip. I would bet that you could easily find an earlier ADR.

So, after all of that, my advice is go for it if you are not going to MK on a EMH or EMM day. Check park hours and ADRs the week before your trip. I think it would be a good risk, especially if you are on the dining plan.

Last Wed in Feb, so no EMM and no AM EMH. And since they very rarely make an earlier opening in Feb. We *should* be good. But I will keep looking for an early time. Was hoping someone who has done this scenario could chime in

I've done BOG PPO many times with different reservation times from an hour to 20 minutes prior to park opening. We always go earlier so we can eat and be in the 7DMT line by 8:45.
Line up at BOG is long if you don't pre-order your food so make sure you do that.
Did it this past April. Timestamp on my photo was 8:48am for my first ride and we were able to do 2 more, with the last one at 9:01am.

Just as a warning... hours can change EMH can be added so don't think that just because right now there is no EMH that there definitely won't be.
Often times people get these PPO ADR's and then get super upset when hours are extended because they lose the "advantage". I guess as long as you're not prone to that then you'll be all set to go with the flow.

Absolutely this! Why would you pay so much for a PPO ADR when you could just RD the ride you want to go on most of all (assuming)? I don't think you will have the advantage you think that you will. PPO guests are "held" until RD anyway.

Well we got the deal on the meal plan for SDP, so it's not a big deal to us a couple credits for a breakfast. (we will be ordering 2 meals to split)
And again, I'm looking from input from people who have actually done what I'm planning to do. I know I have read of others going in early for their BOG ressie, I just wondered if this was still possible.

I think you were asking a valid question concerning the current policy of RD procedures for those attending BOG PPO. Things change at Disney all the time and it can be hard to stay on top of everything.

We had an 8:45 ADR for a 9am open back in May 2017. My plan was to arrive at 8 and see when they would seat us. I was able to bump the reservation for 6 up to 8:15. We checked in for our ADR at 8:06. We were in line for SDMT at 8:45 after a leisurely breakfast. My son decided he didn't want to ride SDMT, so we walked over to the area they held us. My DH and older son were on PP before the RD crowd was all the way through the castle. I was outside on a bench with my younger son because he hates dark rides. It gave us a very nice start on our day.

We have a PPO BOG ADR again for this February. Unfortunately, it's EMM on our MK days. I'm on the fence about keeping the ADR.

Not as late as 8:45 but I've had ADRs in the 8:20-30 range several times and have always been let in at 8:00. Timing for getting onto Mine Train has varied from ten minutes before to right at rope drop. I always get one ride in.
