I managed to get a dinner reservation for BOG today at 6:10. However, it's the day we were going to Hollywood Studios and have the Fantasmic package booked for that day at Hollywood and Vine.

Would you cancel Fantasmic for BOG? It's our first time at Disney so I am not sure what I want more. I have park hoppers so I don't mind switching parks that evening, is it worth cancelling Fantasmic?

Personally I loved fantasmic way more than I loved BOG. If you want to see the dining room, go at lunch time on another day. (Our BOG service was very poor, the order was wrong, and we never got refills)

The Fantasmic show is amazing so I wouldn't miss the show...however, you don't necessarily need to book the Fantasmic package. Is it possible for you to park hop to eat at BOG and then hop back over to see The Fantasmic show? I know it would take a lot of time to hop back and forth so I don't know if you would have enough time depending on when the show is (or if you want to spend that much time hopping).

BOG didnt exist when my husband and I were at Disney but we did see Fantasmic and I LOVED it! BOG is on our list for our next trip, but I would rather see Fantasmic again over eating at BOG if I had to choose just one. If you can eat lunch at BOG (or even dinner on a different day if an ADR opens up) I would do that instead to ensure you get to do both.

You could do both.

I would recommend lunch at BOG on your MK day. It's counter service so no reservations accepted. The food is good and you'll be able to walk around and see all the rooms and usually choose your own table. A CM will bring your food on the cart that is used at dinner for the desserts. Food is served on real dishes. You'll get your own silverware (not plasticware), napkins and drinks. Only the drinks will be in paper cups. The main differences between lunch and dinner are the entrees and additional appetizers at dinner (the desserts are identical), you can have a photo op with the Beast after you eat and beer and wine are served at dinner.

If you are going mainly to see the restaurant and enjoy its ambiance and atmosphere you can do it at lunch. We've had both lunch and dinner at BOG and prefer lunch.

If you have lunch at BOG, you could keep the Fantasmic! Dining Package and therefore do both. :)

Try to eat at BOG for lunch as the menu is very similar and then go to Fantasmic..You don't want to miss Fantasmic on your first trip to Disney it is my favorite night time show!!

Do NOT miss Fantasmic!!!!!!!;)

If I had to pass on BOG I would for Fantasmic but I am sure you can work it out to do both!

The one thing different at BOG lunch vs. dinner is that at dinner you get to meet Beast. If that is important to you then you could switch your plans.

If that doesn't matter I would do BOG lunch and keep your Fantasmic package.

Thanks everyone. I might try lunch instead or I may book the Fantasmic dining package on a day we are going to Animal Kingdom since the park closes at 5 anyways and we have two days planned for there.
