Hey All-

I love Disney and I love breakfast. I had made an ADR for BOG breakfast, but the prices are kinda crazy for what you are getting. The Crystal Palace looks yummy and I have never gone. I would love some advice. Should I cancel BOG and go for CP? Is the food better? What about the prices at CP?

Thanks!princess:

CP's buffet breakfast is great. Better food with a much better selection than BoG. Adult price is $31.95 per person, tax included.

The food is much better at CP, and you get POOH.

I love Pooh.

Agree on all counts. BOG is horribly overpriced and the reviews of the food quality aren't good. The buffet at CP is pretty good, with a wide selection, and the character interaction is usually great.

We love CP breakfast - BOG breakfast is good if you're on the dining plan (more bang for your buck) but I always choose a sit-down character meal over any type of quick service.

It depends on your priorities...

For better food and characters, Crystal Palace. For a faster breakfast (and chance to get on 7DMT if you do PPO), Be Our Guest.

I agree with previous posters.... Crystal Palace has much better food and is better value for money as you also get POOH but BOG is truly unique and has amazing theming so if you havnt been before or if you won't get to go another time during your trip then it could be worth the cost. If you are on the dining plan then it may also be worth considering that CP is 1 table service credit whilst BOG is one quick service... As CP is an 'all you can eat' buffet, you would not be able to share a breakfast whereas you could at BOG.

Sorry - not much help! For what it's worth... I'm doing CP for breakfast in October!

I thought the price depended upon time of year and day of week.

In any event it also depends on how much you can eat and what your priorities are. If you're just looking for a cheap PPO and can't eat your money's worth at CP, you may be better off getting the kids pancakes at BOG. Even if you want the adult meal, it's still cheaper to spend $26.49 plus tax (entree plus hot beverage) at BOG than $31.95 at CP.

I know you have made your decision and based on your priorities, I agree that CP is the one for you.

I alwasy tell people who are tying to decide which meal they should choose to think aboaut what they are booking the meal for. I woudl never use a TS credit on a chaacter meal when all I really want to achieve it early access into the MK> but would not hesitate to use one if I wanted a good, filling meal that includes a character experience

If all I want is to get into the MK early, am on the DDP or I do not mind sharing a meal to mitigate those ridiculous prices, ot I cannot get an ADR for any other meal and I have not seen the Castle I would choose BOG.

Crystal Palace is one of our favorites, the food is good, the atmosphere is great, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet & if you snag an early ADR you get to walk down an almost empty Main Street.

We prefer BOG and here is why,

-We enjoy peace and quiet at BOG. (At least when we went it was quiet there was only 3 tables occupied in the east wing)
-We don't really enjoy characters breaking up the meal.
- The food at CP is nothing special. Is like every other buffet except more sugar items.
-The lasagna so gross :crazy2:. Sugar +more sugar it was way too sweet.
-I am a vegetarian it was hard to find things that weren't sweet that didn't had meat. Unless I wanted bagels but for the price kind of ridiculous.
- BOG with the exception of the bread basket the food quality is actually better. But the pastries at CP are not really any better than the bread basket.

From above post a lot of people seem to prefer CP, yet I am not sure how many have expirience both for breakfast. If you enjoy character meals and if you are going before opening CP might be for you. I would never waste park time for a CP breakfast totally not worth it.

Does anyone know what the current price for Crystal Palace breakfast is for Adults and Kids? Trying to finalize my plans, as we leave on August 4, so trying to figure out my cost of meals (not on a disney dining plan). Thanks!

I have enjoyed both restaurants for breakfast and found that BOG is no longer quiet. It is good, and I enjoy it, but it is not quiet.

The breakfast I schedule in park are always PPO so I never waste park time. I like CP, and when my family wants an in park character meal, we go here.

We are fortunate to have an 8:05 pre-park opening at Crystal Palace in September. We ate a BOG lunch on our last trip and were not impressed with the food. It was pre-plated and cold. We liked the ambience, but it's not something we're itching to do again. Crystal Palace has always been a must.
