BOG offsite?

Well that's good to know! Thank you :)

Has anybody else had any experience with getting a BOG ressies when staying offsite?

I've gotten all three meals while staying offsite and booked at less than 90 days. I never book at 180 out.

The watch threads in the Dining forum will help you alot. Also, just checking randomly throughout the day. I always stay offsite and Ive noticed *usually* people end up getting what they want in terms of dining (or either those who dont are a silent majority). Just over a week ago Disney released a large block of additional times in Oct-Dec and thats how I got mine.

Be sure to watch for them to open up the breakfasts. That will be the easiest slots for you to get because you're not having to wait for someone to release one at that point. You need to check everyday though, throughout the day. And be sure to watch the BoG Breakfast thread in the dining forums.

You can also go to Reservation Watch dot com and get up to 3 free watches. They will alert you by phone or email when something comes up but you need to be able to log in immediately. Get MDE app on your phone. Also, never pay for an app to watch for openings for you. There are free ones to do the job and simply watching yourself can just as easily do the trick.

Is it possible to get a BOG reservation if staying offsite? Anyone have any luck?

Took me over a month of trying daily but I got not just one but 3 reservations last week!! They opened a lot for December and i grabbed 3 not knowing when everyone wanted to go so yes, it's possible. This was the one I wanted more than anything for my first trip. Good luck!!

Thanks for all the feedback so far!

So it sounds like getting a BOG reservation can be a possibility even when staying offsite.

My boss’ wife is a Disney travel agent. She told me, before I had my reservation, not to stress and that she always has good luck with the following:

60 days out because onsite guests cancel reservations when they make their FP+ (which they prefer over ADRs)

30 days out because offsite guests pick their FP+ and cancel ADRs

So if you get nothing yet, keep those dates in mind. Good luck!

Plus 45 Days out because that is when you have to cancel a package to get a refund and with the CC# guarantee if the whole trip is cancelled they will also cancel those.

"Final payment of the entire remainder is due 45 days prior to check-in (2016 rules: 30 days)."
