BOG no credit card?

I am telling you, I will be so upset if they can't just add my cc# to my ressie and I loose it. I even booked a couple of ressies for others.

I had another DISer get through for me very early this morning through the TA automated line but I was never able to bring it up online. Turned out my name was spelled wrong in the computer. The person helping me (through guest services) was not able to change my name (only off by 1 letter) but he was able to add my CC to it with no problems and gave me a new confirmation number.

If you get through they should be able to just add the number without you loosing it. I would probably email all those who you got rezzes for just in case they are not seeing this new info about CCs.

That's really ridiculous that the responsibility is on ME to fix Disney's mistake. They should call me using the number I gave them and ask for my card.

LOL - I feel bad for even asking this but . . .

Assuming a lot of reservations get cancelled at 12:01 am . . . can I call the automated system at 12:02 am and try to make one? If I do, would I then have until the end of the day to get a live person to add my CC?????

I got locked out of my entire week due to the time change to 7am so will try anything now!!!

I think the automated system is being changed to no longer take BoG ressies.

I made my with the automated and they did not ask for my cc#. I can't imagine that Disney would open a new restaurant, have people be on the phone for hours, use the automated and then decide to cancel the reservations made by all the people who used the automated system because they didn't use a credit card. It just doens't make sense. I have pulled my reservations up online and they are all showing up.

Sorry, but that's exactly what is going to happen  I have been on the phone ALL morning! The first time I called back to add my cc# the CM said it was ok if I had my conf# - WRONG!!

Decided I'd better check again after all I was hearing - sure enough after another 30min to get through AGAIN, they told me it was true - their was an issue with the system and if the cc# wasn't added today, the system would kick it out :scared1: Had to wait another 30min on hold because there were just certain people that could override the system and put the cc# in - then he issued me a new conf.# (original ressie time though).

There were many, many people waiting on the phones for just the same problem - they said it was a nightmare for them too. :headache:

This is so infuriating. I spent forever trying to get through to make the reservation and now I'm on hold forever to talk to a CM because of Disney's mistake. One I wouldn't even known about if not for this board! Are they even going to leg people know before just canceling in them? This is the first time i have ever made a reservation at DW (we usually go to DL for our longer stays).

Definitely irritated. Although the Disney music while I'm on hold is helping a tiny bit. It's hard to stay mad when you are humming along to the Pirates song.

I've spoken with Disney and they've confirmed that ALL reservations that don't have a CC to support them will be flushed at 12:01 tonight. She also said that there were numerous "phantom bookings," where people who used the automated system and didn't secure with their credit cards were issued confirmation numbers for reservations, but because the reservation wasn't secured with a CC, it still showed as available in the system and others would have been able to book it. This is why so many people were able to get reservations using the automated system after agents were already saying that the days were booked.

In the event of a conflict, completed reservations with CC numbers are defaulted as the actual, real reservation, and the ones without the CC's are flushed. That first round of flushing has already occurred and you can see all over Facebook where people have called to attach CC's to reservations that are already long gone. That's why, for some, it's not a simple matter of attaching a CC to a reservation and they're having to rebook.

Bad news for those folks who didn't attach a CC, good news for the folks who didn't get reservations today. Another shot tomorrow for them.

at first i was really mad because the automated system didnt recognize my last name and made me wait for an agent for 90 minutes. I guess I got lucky because I spoke to an agent and they took my reservation and my credit card number. I should be okay right? The only people who have to call back are the ones who made it with the automated system?

Bad news guys...

I called to attach my CC# to my ADR that I made with the automated reservation system earlier this morning.

The CM on the phone had to literally re-book my ADR and cancel the original one. I was lucky in that my date/time was still available.

However, if you have an ADR for BOG during a very desirable time, I recommend you call back immediately. I was given the very distinct impression that if your automatic ADR without a Credit Card doesn't have a comparable date/time available, that you might be out of luck.

Haha, I knew it was all going to be ok when I was put on hold and heard nothing but "Grim Grinning Ghosts."

CANNOT be upset when I'm listening to that.

Question - you seem to imply that tomorrow there may be some that are open due to the flushing. But you also seem to imply that all the ones without CCs would have still shown as available in the system anyway so if we're being told sold out - it's still really sold out - but also oversold with phantom reservations. Am I reading this wrong? Do you think trying at 7am tomorrow might be worth it?

FYI, if you call 407.939.2625, there is NO wait, currently. I was able to re-book with my credit card for the time and date I wanted.

So PO'ed right now. I called, got through to an agent who said my time wasn't available anymore, asked for my name and number I booked it under then said she found it, then without any type of warning or anything I got put on hold and 25 minutes later I was STILL on hold, but had to hang up to go back in to work.

WHAT THE HELL, DISNEY.

I also had to call back and add my CC# I haven't heard a lot of people doing it for the week between Christmas and new years. (Perhaps a majority of the people who will be there don't know about the dis so they don't know to make ADRs.)

I told the lady my confirmation number and she was able to add my CC to the ressie (she didn't say anything about having to rebook) I had 13 other people depending on me to get this! So I'm going to rest easy, at least until tomorrow when I can see if mine gets deleted or not. I should be in the clear though!

It is advised to CALL back if you booked through the automatic system on the phone...or else you might not be dining at BoG your next visit!

I wonder why. The CM I spoke to easily looked up my confirmation number.

Glad you were able to re-book!

Thanks for this thread! If I hadn't of seen it, I probably wouldn't of called to link my cc# to it. Glad I did.

I booked our reservation through DVC Member Services. I had to give a credit card, and was given very specific requirements for cancellations and no shows, and the penalty that would apply if we failed to meet the policy.

I was also given a confirmation number, and told to keep it in a safe place.

Good luck everybody, I'm a little worried for all of us now.
