My youngest dd (3 years old) favorite Disney character is the Beast. We had dinner there Friday night and she was excited to meet him. Unfortunate timing that as we were leaving our dining room he was coming in so the sudden rush of him scared her. :(. She refused to go in the meet and great room he was at.

Now she is upset because she didn't get her picture with him. Any chance that when we are at the MK again tomorrow they will let us go in for the picture without a reservation?

Possibly if you explain the situation to the cm, maybe even show them the receipt to prove you really did eat there. I can't imagine that they wouldn't be sympathetic to a scared 3 year old.

If you get the chance when you get home come back and let us know what happened

Sorry I don't have an update. :( After she met Anna and Elsa she fell asleep in her stroller. My husband and oldest daughter did a couple of rides and then we ended up going back to our resort to pack and go to bed early because we had to get up at 4 am the next day because our magic express pickup time was 5:50.

I am super bummed about it, along with other things that I totally forgot to do while we there, so I think we need to go back soon! :)

1) Ya snooze, ya lose.
2) I seriously doubt they will let her back in without an ADR or FP.
3) Unfortunately, she had her chance.
4) No trying to be cruel, just realistic.
5) If they let her in, it would open the Flood Gates for others using the same excuse to see The Beast.

OP if it makes you feel any better, we had a not-so-great experience at BOG lunch and my kids and DH recoiled in horror when I told them we were going back for a BOG dinner. Obviously this was an ADR that I had sought with frenzied desperation. I cancelled it the day before. I nearly cried...:sad2:

As you said, it gives you an excuse to go back. I am determined to feast with the beast on our next trip, but as a parent I have learned that it is rarely worth it to draw the line in the sand on such things, so I will play by ear. Also, at first glance TheRustyScupper's post makes him seem like a curmudgeon but after a couple of minutes of reflection, I don't think it is a bad thing to teach a small child that they can't always get what they want, when they want it.

I get what you are saying. ;) She has talked for months about meeting the Beast so she could tell him that she loves him. Every cast member she talked to that day she told them this. So when we came out of the castle two of the cast members came over and asked her if she told him. I told them what happened and they tried for about 5 minutes to change her mind and go back in. She wasn't having it though.

On Monday we got really close to their float during the parade and she was excited to see him. She kept saying "Look Mommy he does have eyes." Not sure why she said that but I am wondering if she couldn't see his eyes during the BOG experience and that is what scared her.

In the meantime I will just have to settle for this picture of her with the Beast.

If I was a CM I would say yes to her....what a cutie.

1) Sorry, but I just have to ask.
2) If she wasn't cute, would you not permit her?
3) If you permit her, would you permit the next kid that asks?
4) Where would you draw the "cute" red-line as to who you would permit?
5) See, it does get complicated.
6) Sometimes we can do Pixie Dust, but have to be very careful.

1) don't be sorry
2) no I wouldn't permit her if she wasn't cute
3) depends if that kid was cute
4)there is no line...if ur cute ur in
5) not complicated
6) this is one of those times.

There are rules and policies in place so things don't become standard practice. That does not mean the unique situations do not present themselves where discretion is needed. In this case explain the situation, show your receipt that you actually attended the lunch and have a magical experience.

If I would have went back and they said no I would have understood. I would have been bummed but I would have understood the policy. :)

She saw Beast on the float and she has her stuffed Beast so everything is okay in her world. She is able to tell the stuffed Beast all the time that she loves him. I still wish I had a picture of her with him though. LOL Darn toddlers and their stubbornness.
