BOG Lunch question

We have reservations at BOG for lunch at 10:45am. We have 7 people in our party and I know they need all members of the party to be there to be seated. My nephew is taking a YES class in Frontierland/Liberty Square that says it will go until 11am, but I'm not sure if they go until 11 or let out a little early. He can run to the restaurant pretty quickly (he's 16). But may not be there exactly at 10:45. Is this going to be a problem? We can pre-order and would pay for his food either way, so they are not losing any money.

I understand that at most restaurants having to wait for a straggler will mean that the table will take longer to turnover, but if we pre-order or if we decide to order when we get there we would place his order along with ours. He should be there by the time the food arrives, but even if he's not he eats so fast he'll probably be the first one done.

I just am not sure if I should try to reschedule the reservation or not. I don't' know how successful I'll be since there are 7 of us and we are only 77 days out from arriving. Thanks.

You may be delayed seating. You are only talking about fifteen minutes. I think you're good.

Table Service restaurants which require reservations will not seat until everyone in your party has arrived and I know that BOG does this at dinner. Even though it is a CS, since lunch also requires reservations it is very possible that the same policy is in effect during lunchtime.

We ate lunch at BOG on Friday at 11:05 with a party of 10. The check-in stand is well outside the building and they did confirm that all 10 of us were present before allowing us to go through. I think you would have to wait for your nephew before you check in. You wouldn't be allowed to go in and order for him.

I am not sure how long they will hold a reservation for. Some places, I've heard 15 minutes, but I heard a cast member at Sci-Fi diner tell someone that they'd only hold the reservation for 10 minutes. Still, when we ate at BOG at 11:05 am, there were LOTS of empty tables even though they said they were fully booked and weren't accepting walk-ups. I don't think they are running at full capacity at that time of day, so maybe they will provide a bit more leeway.

Every Yes class we have done tends to let out early, so long as it starts on time...Perhaps if he is running late, you can just tell them that the teacher kept him late or he left something on an attraction and had to run back for it, or had to use the bathroom. There are always delays at Disney, so this time they should give you a little leeway!
