BoG lunch FP+

I think I got a FP+ for BoG during our Jan visit, thanks to info I found on disboards.

However, I was not given a confirmation number (not really surprised, because I understand it's not the same as an ADR) or an email confirmation. But it also does not show up under my FP+ selections, or dining reservations, or anywhere else I can see on MDE. Is this how worked for those of you who have successfully USED the lunch FP+? I'm pretty sure that's probably just the way it works, but I'd appreciate some reassurance.

All my Christmas gifts are ready and wrapped, house is clean, cookies are baked... that means stressing about vacation details has become my full-time job for the next 24 days.

It's kind of a "secret" web site, separate from the MDE stuff. They don't open it up very far in advance, so keep trying if your trip is still 30+ days away. I finally made mine last Thursday, for Jan 20. I only had the option for the first 7 days of our 10-day trip. I'm not sure if they have a max on 7 days for any guest, or if dates beyond then were not open yet. I just snagged what I could!

You have the option to just get a FP for the line, or actually pre-order your food to make the process even faster. We decided to wait to order when we got there.

It does work! I went to that site for a trip in September and was stressing the entire time until BOG day. No confirmation, I just printed out the page with our names and the time. Got there and a CM was having trouble finding me. And then.... "right this way..." we got to pass the poor people in line.

I didn't pre-order meals but, take a look at the menu beforehand because we slowed down people behind us because my friends didn't know what to order. Also, order EVERYTHING you want then and there. It's not like CS that you can just go back and order more stuff.

I had the quiche which was great!! And the chocolate cupcake thing.

The place is gorgeous!

Ours was not linked either. Take a print out with you just in case. We had no trouble with it. It was the best meal of the trip!

I used it last month, no confirmation #, no e-mail. They lost my meal order but I was able to go to the front of the line inside and order, bypassing a huge line.

We used it in October, after I booked it and pre-ordered the food I couldn't get back into the site no matter what I tried. Luckily I had added the day and time as an extra thing on my MDE.

I am trying to add my resort confirm number and it won't put the letters in. I don't see another number, can I find a different number other than MDE?

its the reservation id number, not the confirmation number.
go to where you find your magic bands in MDE and look for a reservation number there..is all numbers

when you say it hadnt opened up yet, do you mean that it said nothing was available or your dates didnt show up at all?
im going in may...my dates show up but it says nothing is available

Yes, that's what it said for me. I could see the first 7 days of my trip, but it said nothing was available. Seems like they "open" the dates 2-4 weeks beforehand. Then I found availability for each of the days (but i couldnt choose more than one). Good luck!

I have a room only reservation, so I used the confirmation number I got when I bought my tickets online. Others have used the confirmation number on their Magical Express tags.
