I have reservations for Sanaa @ 7pm and BOG lunch 1:30 pm. I have two girls ages 3 and 6 at the time of the trip. I have mixed reviews from my Disney expert friends. Some say that BOG lunch food is poor and the wait time is not worth it. I hear the Sanaa is great, but better with older kids.

I need to decide soon, but I can't! I need some advice - I'm lost. Thank you!

It depends on what you want to eat. We enjoy the french onion soup, turkey sandwich and croque monsieur.

We find BOG lunch super quick as long as you pre-order. Maybe your friends don't pre-order. Those lines can be long. Food arrives quickly once you've payed.

I first ate at BOG lunch on opening day November 22nd 2012 so had preconceived expectations.
My family has fallen in love with it.
I've now had lunch there 10 soon to be 11 times.
I've had the turkey sandwich, the roast beef sandwich, and the ham and cheese sandwich. the hame and cheese is my favorite.
I also love the strawberry cream cheese cupcake.
We've had all ages from toddler to senior citizen eat there and enjoy it.
With an ADR and preorder I have not had to wait at all.
Check in, walk up the left side of the bridge, confirm my order with the cashier and find a seat.

We really enjoyed BOG lunch. In fact, foodwise that's my favorite meal to eat there. I like getting a croque monsieur, soup and a cupcake.

We have not had to wait when we pre order. We love the french onion soup and the braised pork entree. We love the atmosphere of the 'dark' room.

Sanaa after dark, so your girls won't even be able to see the animals out the window, probably won't work for a 3 and 6 year. It is definately more of an adult dining palatte menu.
BOG has very good lunch food. I recommend the Braised Pork, they call it Slow-Cooked Pork on the kids menu. It tastes the same as pot roast. The kids grilled shrimp on the kids menu is also good, if your 6 year old eats shrimp. I love the chocolate cream puff myself, but everyone needs to try the Master's Cupcake once--maybe the girls can split it. Tastes like cookies and cream jello fluff. (Warning, don't try to unwrap it, no on can, and you will just destroy it in the process. Eat it out of the wrapper, or run your knife around the edge to get it out.)
For girls that age, go with BOG.

I don't understand your "Disney expert friends" reference to wait time. Perhaps they haven't been since it went to reservation only? So they are referring to standing on the bridge in the sun, waiting for a walk-in? Sounds like questionable "Disney experts".

At that age, my DS liked Sanaa more than BOG. Sanaa is lovely and the food is very good. BOG is really chaotic at lunchtime. As others have suggested, if you go to BOG, make sure to pre-order as the lines for the food ordering kiosks get REALLY long.

Those mentioning pre ordering at BOG- how early do you do that? Day of? Before your trip? Just curious. We have a lunch ADR and really looking forward to it after many you tube reviews

Oh ok. I didn’t realize that was an option! Awesome. Thank you!
Yes you can preorder starting at 30 days prior to your ADR and up until about 5 minutes prior to checking in for your ADR. At the register they confirm your order and ask if you would like to change anything. This last trip we were going to just drink free filtered water but when we got there we decided our throats needed some fizz so we added fountain drinks on the spot.

With 6 and 3 yr old girls, I think you will enjoy BOG for the experience of being inside the beast’s castle. The main dining room is cool and feels like the movie (and has snow through the windows). West wing is neat too, though seating is usually limited. The food is only so so imo, but it’s still one of our must do lunch spots when we visit. Pre order is the way to go.

My kids are 8, 3, and 1. Oldest has done dinner at BOG (before the new menu) and loved it. Asked to go back next trip, which we are planning to do for lunch.

Both of the older two have eaten at Sanaa several times. It's a favorite We like to go before dusk to check out the animals, eat, then go back outside to view them with the night vision goggles by the bonfire.

I agree with this. The theming is amazing inside the castle. I always order the "Grey Stuff" for dessert (The Master's Cupcake)

Our last BOG lunch as a efw years ago but we enjoyed it and are planning to repeat it with our 3 and 7 year olds this spring.

We did Sanaa last year when they were 2 and 6. The little one was under the weather but the big one LOVED it. The bread service, the kids butter chicken, the animals, etc. All favourites. It’s going to be inconvenient to do again but I’d really like the little one to experience it when he’s feeling good, so we’re going to try to make it happen this year too!

BOG is fine - we have had lunch there 2 or 3 times. Experience varies depending on what room you sit in. Our kids like to sit in the main room so they can look out the windows and watch it "snowing." It's essentially a wonderfully themed cafeteria. Food is decent enough.

Sanaa is very good. You should look at the kids menu and see what they offer. Even if it's light out with good weather you don't always see animals by the windows, so I wouldn't go there simply for that reason. It's a nice place.

Only you know what your kids eat so I wouldn't make a decision about going based on the food options because of what others say, since none of us know what your kids eat.

If you're planning on going to MK that day, do you want to cut your park day short to run over to AKV for dinner? That's the main thing I would take into consideration.

We are doing BOG lunch for the first time in November. For a 3 and 6 year old I would go with BOG. I know my DD12 loves Belle and loves dining in the castle (we've done dinner before). We actually have two lunch ADRs there for our trip. I wouldn't cut my park day short to go to AKL for dinner.

Just wanted to add another thumbs up for lunch at BOG. We have gone two or three times and our family has enjoyed it each time. We like the slow cooked pork and ham & cheese sandwich along with the strawberry cupcake. My son also loves the fries. Even though it is busy, we always pre-order and have never had a wait. We usually make lunch our downtime after rope dropping and rushing from ride to ride all morning. We find this easy to do at BOG. We especially like that there are free self serve drink refills. After eating we always linger awhile with our refills, walk around the restaurant to enjoy the themeing in each room, and make a few photos. We find it much more relaxing than many MK options for lunch.

We always try to do at least one BOG lunch every trip. Love the french onion soup and turkey sandwich.
