BOG lunch and the DxDDP

I know Be our Guest for lunch is not a good value on the deluxe plan but have never been and want to try it. My question is if you order the soup as well as an entrée, is the soup part of the DxDDP or will I have to pay OOP for the soup? Thanks

According to the DxDDP brochure, at a QS location you only get an entree, dessert and standard fountain beverage. You can, however, sub the beverage or dessert for anything that has the purple ddp logo next to it which includes the soup.

you could just order soup and cupcake to see the place and save your credit for other stuff (both are snack credits)

at lunchtime, yes. not at dinner. the soup, cupcakes and beverages are all eligible for snack credits.

if you go at dinner the soup could be your app.

They got rid of the $5 and under (or whatever) limit for snacks and have expanded the selections some. Plus you can substitute items. This is a new thing so I'm excited to try it out when we go in August.

I was there last month and had problems swapping our drinks for snacks at Tusker House in AK - absolute fantastic manager called Robert - and at the Chinese place in Epcot - terrible manager, very frustrating experience. Both times the managers were admanent it wouldn't work and both times the swap went through with no problems at all. I'd printed the list of restaurants off to carry round with me, which also showed that Disney said I could do it. That helped.

Subbing a snack for the drink is only at Quick Service restaurants. Tusker House is a buffet so if you were able to trade your beverage for a snack that was pixie dust and very unusual. Since it is a buffet what did you get as a snack at Tusker House? Buffets, family style all you care to eat venues, other fixed price meals and Table Service restaurants where you order from a menu don't participate in the drink or dessert substitution. Which restaurant at the China Pavilion did you sub your drink for a snack?

Sorry Purple Figment, I got my names confused. I meant Flame Tree BBQ Best manager, amazing people skills. He left me feeling great AND the young lady at the till, too. The staff there were the happiest we ran into anywhere in the World. If anyone can tell me the best place to write to to praise him, I'd love to do so.
