I finally got 8 people for BoG, but in two groups of 4. One is 10:30 am, and one is 11 am. How late/early can we arrive? If we can't go in at the same time, do you have any ideas on strategies for sitting or eating together?

Still trying to get the times closer together... touringplans reservation finder found an 11:10 sometime last night, but I was sleeping and missed the text.

Anyway, I am excited! My mom requested nothing for this trip except she wants to eat there, and now we'll be able to!

It's CM discretion if you can enter together. Half an hour is a big gap.

They'll probably let you in together, but if they don't, just have the first group grab a table for 8 (which could take a few minutes) and pre order all your meals on the second ADR. First group could just order all the drinks, get those filled and get the napkins and silverware while waiting for the second group. That seems to me to be the best way for you to all sit and eat together with minimal confusion. First group could also drag their feet after check in to kill some time. Just let everyone go before you or try lingering on the bridge for 15 minutes or so. I don't think any CM's will stop you. It's one of my very favorite restaurants. I hope you enjoy it!

That sounds like a good plan- I especially like ordering the food together, then we can eat together!

They MAY let the later group go in earlier, BUT....We have fairly consistently heard the CM's at the check-in area bridge turn away guests trying to check in early and tell them to not come back until 5 minutes before their reservation time.

As you already know...it's a very busy restaurant.

I think this will only work if you all enter together. BOG is FAST, so not long after you are seated, your food arrives. I wonder if this will just complicate your plan.
I would just ask to be seated together, and if not save dessert to enjoy with the rest of your party as they have lunch.

Exactly. I would hope for the best, but be prepared to compromise.

First group grabs the table and drinks only. Second group has all the food for everyone in both groups pre ordered. Second group confirms order at kiosk and joins the first group at the table. All food for both groups comes at once after everyone is seated.

Now you know I had it backwards.

The only thing to know is if the 2nd group is on the ddp the entire bill goes on that room. At least that is what we were told.

Eta: I mean all the credits are going to be used on that bill, it cannot be series rated between the two accounts.

Yes, and if all are on the DDp, the first group will have to pay out of pocket for drinks that they'll be getting as part of the DDP when the next group comes in, or they'll have to use a snack credit to get the drinks. Seems like a disaster to try to do it that way, to me.

I'd just eat. I think that once you make something like a lunch ADR so complicated you are bound to get stressed.

I never thought about the DDp. We never use it. So yes, that certainly could complicate matters. I was just thinking that if everyone is family, the money could be worked out later, but I also forget not everyone's family is as good about paying each other back!
