Okay, we're heading down to VWL for a week starting Dec. 1. I got an email the other day "inviting" me to get a FP+ for lunch at BOG. I had to go to a special link the email gave. I could either choose to order our food ahead of time or just get expedited entry to BOG. I went through the process and got an FP+ for Wednesday of that week. The thing is this FP+ doesn't show up anywhere on MDE. I thought this weird, so I just went back through the process and it said I had the FP+. Still nothing on MDE. Anyone else get this email? If it doesn't show up on MDE, how can it be on our MB's? There was no kind of confirmation number or anything.

Those don't show on MDE.

If you're nervous, take a screen shot print out with you. But I didn't, and everything turned out just fine. The BOG CMs knew we had FP+ reservations.

For us, the CM's there not did not see our reservation, but we got to stay. There were 4 of us, on 2 different reservations that overlapped time. This was in September, and it seemed there were others with FP+'s that could not be seen.

My sister is going to WDW in 3 weeks and just got this invite. At first she was all excited because they love this restaurant and have a tough time getting in.

She called me yesterday to share her experience with trying to use the invite code to get a reservation. If she's right, I think she's understandably upset, but I haven't seen this reported anywhere else, so who knows.

She said the invite was good for only 2 days (of her 8 night trip). On those days, good for reservations between 11am and 1:30am only.

Plus, one of those days was her arrival date! So I guess she technically has her DVC room booked for that night, but she's not even arriving until after the 11-11:30am booking window.

To add to her woes, while she's going to MK 3 days (she has a 7 year old daughter and MK is her favorite), the second date her invite is good for is a day she has planned for AK.

So she tried rearranging her FP+ and other dinner/lunch bookings to move things so she could do the second date at MK for the BOG lunch.

She had absolutely no luck. FP+ for what she would need to switch to MK on the current AK day are not available. A character meal she had booked was also not open for the switched dates.

Have others had this experience? Now I know my sister goes a bit overboard with booking character meals and meet and greets because of her young child, but that locks her in at this late date, making the BOG invite, as she explained it to me, tantalizing, but essentially useless.

Is it just the first two days of her trip that is available? If so the rest of the days may not have opened yet. As for arrival time - if you keep retrying it gives you different options each time. Or at least it has the two trips we used it for.

So one thing that confused me. I already had three FP+'s for each day of the trip. Was I expected to give up one of my existing FP+'s to get the BOG one? Or was it extra? It never said and it let me make the BOG FP+ but it just doesn't show up on MDE. I guess I'll just be there at the right date and time and see what happens. Turns out we were going to be at MK on that day anyway.

The FP+ for the Be Our Guest lunch does not count toward the daily allotment of three FP+. We got the invitation for our upcoming trip and could have made in for one of several days during the week of November 30. We picked December 2, and it doesn't show on our MDE for that day.

Interesting. Well I guess we'll just have to see what happens when we get there.

No. The first day (her arrival day) and then a day later in her stay.

I asked her if maybe all the others were already sold out?

I had the same exact problem. Ask her if the 5 days before her trip show up. Our reservations are for Nov. 22-27 at VGF. We received the email and used the link to set up our FP's and after putting in my confirmation #, Nov. 17th-23rd showed up. We don't even arrive until late on the 22nd and have reservations at Ohana' for 10:50 AM on the 23rd so I am not able to go to MK on either of those days. I called MS and they had no idea why I could make a reservation for the 17th-21st when I am not even going to be there then but the 24th-27th weren't showing up. I was basically told there was nothing they could do for me so we are out of luck. It isn't that big of a deal as we will back again next year but it would have been nice if we would have been able to try it this trip.

In response to many of the above questions. First, there is nothing anyone can do about the BOG FP site. It is running separately from the rest of Disney's IT issues. You really need to be in the know about the BOG FP system. You can book a reservation 27 days before you want to eat there. The emails that get sent out are usually past the 27 days and if that's when you get the invite you are probably out of luck. Everyone who knows you don't have to wait for the invite has beat you to the reservations. As stated it does not show up on MDE and you don't have to drop an attraction FP for the BOG FP. You also can NOT have more than one BOG FP during your stay. They are limiting everyone to just one.

Keep checking the site. People cancel all the time and times will open, but you have to stay on top of it.

So if you can book this 27 days in advance and haven't received the e-mail yet, how do you know where to go to book it?
