Hi All!

My mom and I were fortunate enough to get a BOG dinner reservation for this Thursday at 4:45. We are also in the park for MVMCP. I heard that the Castle will light up around 6:15. Do you think that is enough time for us to eat and get back to the castle? We are in the park, so we have that going for us.

I just don't know how long those dinners usually run since we have never eaten there.

Thanks!:cool1:

Well congratulations on getting a BG ADR :thumbsup2 Now I have never eaten dinner there but have had many lunches, wonderful food. IMHO this isn't a meal to rush through, take the time to enjoy the castle setting, take advantage of meeting the beast as this is the only way to do it. Will this be your only day at MK ? You could see the castle lighting on another night if you miss it.

Correction OP...please see Itinkso's response below...apparently you CAN have your cake and eat it too !

The Castle Lighting will also be held at 8:00 for Party-goers. There are two Lightings each evening.

I have a question about that, I don't mean to seem dense but how do they do the castle lighting twice? do they shut the lights off then have elsa re-light them?

Yes, they shut them off when Celebrate the Season ends or begins, I'm not sure of the exact timing, and then Elsa does her thing for the Frozen Holiday Wish Castle lighting show.

Well that is wonderful news for the OP. I had no idea that was done thanks Itinkso :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! Also, thanks for asking about how they go about lighting the castle twice....I was confused on that also! Being that we'll be there for the 8pm lighting with no problem, I think we'll be okay with our reservation, I won't cancel just to see the castle light up at an earlier time lol. Just curious :)

We are only in Disney for 4 days and everything else is all set up....I plan on going in earlier in the day too to see if maybe we can get an earlier time, but I highly doubt it!

Thanks a lot everyone!

And on non-party nights, Dream Along with Mickey runs right before the second lighting that's set for 7:30. I'm not sure if Dream Along runs with or without the Castle lights on.

We had a 4:45 ADR for BOG on a MNSSHP night and even with my allergy safe food which can take longer, we were out the door before 6. It's like they knew everyone was in a hurry to get to the party.

From what I understand they do not seat dinner until 4pm---just show up early and see if they will seat you early.
