BOG Dinner - No 180

We booked our trip less than 180 days out so no BOG when I set up original ADRs. But then I just kept compulsively checking on the MDE App any and every time I thought of it, and eventually got a dinner ADR @BOG for one night of our July trip. It was pretty close to when some people would be canceling 45 days out. Keep trying!!

I got us a BOG res for Saturday at 6 pm just a week out, and this was in June of this year. You just have to be diligent and keep trying.

BTW the ratatouille was amazing!

I agree! The ratatouille was really good when I got it the last time we were there! I think I am going to try the braised pork this time. :hyper:

180D mark today. Able to get reservation for date & time I wanted. BTW it was for the end of my trip. I asked the CM about earlier dates, she said some were still available. Pixie Dust for those trying to get reservations.

A friend of mine just did as well, an ADR for BOG within 3 weeks. Last time we were at a WDW we got BOG about 4 months out. Our coming trip we logged in on our 180 day and had no problems getting BOG on different days, and some sat there available all day. I suggest diligence and perseverance, something will pop up if you try hard and long enough.

Not BOG, but happy to say I was able to move up a Tusker House ressie today. I was worried that bfast food would be slim pickins at our original arrival time. Still trying for 'Ohana on arrival day.

Yesterday was my 180 I got BOG @ 6:01 am..they had 3 times for the day I wanted 12/23..that is what I searched 1st and we are a party of 6 for 4:45, they also offered a 6:45 & 8:45 that day.
No any other days during my stay 18-24 December except one on 12/21 @ 9 but that would have been too late for us.

I would say if you can book online, start at the end of your reservation & work backwards.

I was able to snag a reservation at BOG this morning right at 6:00 (5:00 our time). It was for the 4th day of our trip. Hopefully others will have the same luck!

We also couldn't get BOG at our 180 day mark for Nov and I already stopped trying. I will just wait until the hype dies down to eat there, no biggie. Everytime something new opens, its like a project to accomplish it. I am happy with our adrs and plans so I done trying to switch things around.

I found out on Monday that we were going to WDW towards the end of July. I earned a free trip staying at GF for two nights and was able to add two nights at a great price (I think). So with so little time, I started making reservations. Since Monday I have been trying for BOG for July 23rd, and about an hour ago one came through. Woohoo! It is for a bit late at night (8:40), so I might keep trying for a bit earlier as we get closer. We are arriving from California that day so for our clocks 8:40 (5:40) might be just right.

Congrats on earning the trip. I agree....that time might just be perfect for you.

BOG is the only place my mom really wants to go on our trip and we booked just under 180 out so no avail. I have been checking everyday for a cancellation. Doofenschmirz Evil I've also been checking the cancellation thread here on the boards, that might give you some luck too.

Also I'm going during Halloween so the restaurant isn't doing later dinners during MNSSHP which is very frustrating. IF LTT and TTS are open later why isn't the most popular restaurant?! :headache: Oh well I'll keep plugging.

No. Your resort doesn't make a difference. Sometimes concierge has a bit of extra pull when guests stay Club level, but for the average guest your resort tier makes no difference.

Does anyone know if you get charged a cancellation fee for changing the time of a reservation? I have breakfast reservations at Kona Cafe, but the earliest time I could get ws 8:50, and really want the 7:30, so my guys can get an earlier tee time. If I try the night before, and find one, will I get charged a fee?

Nope. As long as you cancel the original by midnight the night before you're fine.

Just for fun, I just hopped on to Disney dining (at 10:30 am on 6/25) and searched for dinner reservations for tomorrow night, 6/26. There was a BOG at 6:20 and Ohana at 6 sitting there. Based on this and what other posters had said, I'd say you have a very good chance of snagging a reservation close to your trip.

Has anyone had luck getting BOG for a larger party, of like 12 people? We are flexible on days and some what flexible on time. We have a 1 year old 3 year old with, plus grandparents that go to bed early, so can't be too late. I don't mind checking daily if there's a chance. Would calling help since we are a larger party or doesn't really matter?

I'm a travel agent. I have been able to get BOG for all of my clients but can't get it for my anniversary trip in December. I was online at 6am on our 180 day. So irritating!!

Why would they specifically want to restrict AP holders from BOG?

For what it's worth, even resort guests are finding BOG difficult to get at 180 + 10 but that is just because it is so extraordinarily popular and everyone wants it.

Some of those who got it will drop reservations. Some made more than one, some will cancel their trips, some will decide they don't want to eat there after all, maybe WDW will be able to expand capacity for certain times and will release more. Keep checking!

But I also don't think Disney wants us making and changing reservations a million times either. That's got to be time-consuming and costly for their staff. Perhaps we'll do that.

It's allowed unless it's the same day, and if you do it online then they'll never even notice. Don't admit defeat and stop trying to get what you want if you couldn't get it at 180.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I do not know if anyone mentioned this or not. You do not need to have a booked vacation to get an ADR. You just can't go beyond 180 days from today's date unless you have a booked vacation. So with an AP, just secure your ADR and then plan your trip accordingly. You said you plan to make 5 or 6 small trips, so hit it on your next one booking as soon as the 180 day mark hits. Or like others have suggested, be persistent and one should open up. There is a theory that at the 45 day mark things open because people kill their vacations before they lose their deposit or balance paid. Check 45 days out. FD will also be a factor.
