This may seem like sacrilege to some, but is the Beast avoidable?
My 3 year old will be freaked out by him but we still want to dine in style that evening.

Yes! When we had dinner there we were in the Music Box room. He really just peeks in there quickly, bows and goes out. He doesn't go table to table like other M&G's. You can totally avoid the library meet and greet on your way out.

You don't have to meet him, but she will probably still see him as he walks to and from the library, through the ballroom and the west wing. As PP noted, you may want to request the Music Box room (a table away from the entrance) or the ballroom (a table away from the center of the room) when you check in (I would avoid the west wing).

There is really no way to avoid seeing him however as there is a big fanfare when he walks through and people usually clap. Unless you can distract her with something else.

As PP have said, he does walk through the main dining room. However, he doesn't visit each table like at other character meals and you can skip past the meet and greet area on your way out. So I think your 3 year old will be fine. :)

Yes, very avoidable. My DD was super scared of him as well, she saw him walk in the room (to go to the place where you can meet him) and freaked out, but he came no where near us and didn't walk around the room at all. We were in the main ballroom that time.
