Bog dessert question

I was trying to do the pre orders tonight and it lists the soups as being a dessert option, does this count with the dining plan or no? Not really a fan of the cupcakes, I would rather have the soup but I don't wanna have to pay extra for it if we get there and it doesn't count as a dessert.

Adding to avoid issues:

Getting a cupcake is not a problem if that's what it needs to be. I'm not trying to get anything extra for free, I'm just not sure as that wasn't listed on our last trip when they were still in the testing phase of everything.

That's interesting that soup is listed as a dessert. I've been to BOG twice for dinner and the dessert comes with the dining plan and I'm 99.9% sure soup isn't counted. Maybe it's a typo on their part? But my favorite dessert is The Grey Stuff; mainly because I love saying it and it's pretty darn good as well.

YES YOU CAN GET SOUP INSTEAD OF DESSERT!! This is one of the changes that actually made it into the brochure. For the QS plan, you can substitute any snack item for either your dessert or drink entitlement at any QS restaurant. So, get that soup and enjoy!!

Yep - we have done this, you can get the soup instead of the dessert at no extra charge - Enjoy!

It is what it is. Tastes the same to me & saves the CMs from having to celebrate a lot of fake birthdays.

I don't know why it wasn't on the menu from the beginning, actually. Surely they could have anticipated that most people dining at a Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurant would want to "try the grey stuff" & instead come up with another surprise that would not have been in quite such high demand.

Yea I'm not a fan of the grey stuff either, and then I'm not a huge fan of strawberries so that was why I was hoping I could do the soup. So all of the qs places you can get any snack/side item as a dessert now? I thought most of them already did this??

Not ANY side item. It has to have the snack logo next to it. And, no, this is new from around May/June of last year. In the past, some places would let you get a bottle of water instead of your dessert, but that was about it.
