BOG breakfast

I have a PPO res for BOG during our trip and was glad to get it until I saw the menu. Nothing looks that great, and it seems quite overpriced. Anyone have a meal they liked there?

The food is good, but not worth the price in my opinion. I'd only eat there again if I was using the dining plan. I wouldn't pay out of pocket for breakfast at BOG.

If your are not on the DP, just order one meal and split it and the pastries.

I really enjoyed BOG breakfast but I wouldn't stomach the cost for everyone if paying OOP.

We split the open faced bacon and egg sandwich, it was good, it could have been a little bit warmer. We loved the fact that when we were done we hopped on line for 7DMT and rode twice before the crowds reached it at park opening. There is a picture of it in my dining review below, dining with a 16 yo if you want to see the food.

I am amazed at the people who make ADRs at BoG who have no idea what's on the menu. The ability to actually GET a reservation at this restaurant trumps all else.

No offense to the OP.

When BOG first opened for breakfast, I booked a couple of PPO with the intention of actually eating there since I like their lunch and dinner menus. DURING our first PPO breakfast I cancelled the others because no one in my party liked the food and it was overpriced IMO for what was served.

So, no, haven't had a meal there for breakfast that I've liked.

We used the meal plan but that poached egg open faced sandwich was my favorite thing for breakfast all week .. pretty sure I would pay for it..

No offense taken. I have eaten there for dinner and lunch, and honestly after looking at the menu, I think I may have eaten there for breakfast when it first opened because it seems incredibly familiar??....but I knew I loved PPO ressies and usually I can work with most any menu. It just is now ringing a bell that we did go and I think I hated it. LOL. We do a LOT of Disney restaurants so guess that one just slipped to the back of my mind because in general, I really do love BOG, just not breakfast. I asked my husband and he remembers now as well. I guess he liked the egg sandwich thing ok, but the girls and I weren't impressed with any of the pastries and frankly, as PP mentioned, I much prefer Sleepy Hollow.

Gaston's Feast was good. DH had the Croque Madame and liked it. Our friends split the meat and cheese platter and really liked it. It looked good but had too much ham for my liking; I don't like ham unless it's really high quality Jamon Iberico. I have had the quiche at lunch and thought it was good; however, it wasn't significantly better than what I can get at La Madeleine.

I agree. I got an ADR for two different days for PPO. My boys saw the menu and are not interested in the food at all. They said Cancel. After all that effort to get a 8:00 AM ADR, I haven't had the heart to cancel it yet. Cronut thing looks good though.

PLUS I recently read that they are letting guests into the hub before park opening now. Is this true? If so, it somewhat negate the PPO empty park excitement....

I agree. It's incredibly frustrating to see posts like this when my family loves BOG breakfast, and don't go to WDW very often, and are early risers that always do early breakfast wherever we vacation. PPO BOG is very valuable to us, and I really wish Disney would require payment up front for breakfast there, and charge a flat fee, just like CRT.

DD and I split the meat and cheese. Between that and the pastry it was too much food for the two of us. It's not your traditional American breakfast, but DD often has the Serrano and Sopressata with bread for breakfast when we cruise. She's more a savory than a sweet person and I'm the opposite. I had the fruit and cheese with a croissant from the pastry tray. It's my opinion of course, but I thought it was a good value and good quality for Disney.

We ate there in november. I LOVED the assorted meats and cheeses. My little one had the feast al a gaston, we thought the sausage and the potatoes were excellent! My hubby had the open faced sandwich, he didn't care for the cheese, but loved everything else on it. The pasteries were pretty darn good too (WAY too much food for the 3 of us). I enjoyed the breakfast so much, we decided to go back later in the week to have it again :)

I am not a big breakfast eater and none of the adult choices seemed worth $24 to me, so I ordered the kids bacon & eggs and enjoyed it with the chocolate croissant from the pastry tray. Since DH got an adult meal, I told him I got first dibs on the chocolate croissant. :thumbsup2

Our family loves BOG and we pay out of pocket for it.
Crazy, I know.

I had the meat/cheese plate. DH had the eggs florentine.
DD had the cronut and DS had french toast and a cupcake.

We all left full and happy!

We did this. We legitimately went in thinking we'd order more but that morning nothing sounded appealing and we got the cupcake and a coffee instead. Unfortunately, it took 25 minutes for our lone cupcake to arrive! A CM walked by several times checking our receipt and saying it would be out soon, only to return a few minutes later and still no cupcake. Once it did come, though, it was quite tasty.

Yes. The new open show is in the castle forecourt at 8:50, and Main Street is opening ~8ish.

My dh an I went in 2015 and got the meat and cheese platter and the croque madame. We liked both but agreed the croque madame was very good!!

We took our our 19 and 16 ear old daughters in November for the first time. They got the croissant doughnut and french toast sticks while dh and I got the croque madame again. we had them try the croque madame and they wished the had gotten that. But, dd did enjoy her croissant doughnut, she's got a real sweet tooth.

Now, if we weren't getting in before park opening like we have done both times, I would not pay the price based on the food alone.
