Hi Gang...

For all of those that have tried BOG breakfast~ can you tell me if you enjoyed it? is it worth it w/ children that like the "traditional" eggs & cereal for breakfast? any complaints?

We went there twice for breakfast. We had the Gastons breakfast and the croissant doughnut. Both were really good. Now we were on the meal plan so it was well worth it as a QS and because we did a PPO breakfast. If I had to pay the 25 dollars a meal I don't know if I would do it although getting in the park early was really cool.

We did BOG PPO twice. I had the cronut twice, and DH tried the Feast ala Gaston and open faced sandwich. My daughter had the French toast twice, and my son tried the crepes and waffles (neither of which he particularly liked).

For us, on the meal plan, BOG was great. The food was tasty and atmosphere was very special. We took amazing photos in front of the castle and got to ride 7DMT before the RDers.

Honestly, I'd book it, order a coffee and a Mickey straw, get out to whatever you wanted to rope drop (PP or 7DMT) then go to Sleepy Hollow.

It's great! Done it twice. And again in three weeks. PPO risk an early park opening so go there for the food.

I did it once as a PPO when they first opened for breakfast. While I was eating I cancelled my other two PPO breakfasts I had scheduled for there. None of the 8 members in my party liked the food. It is the one meal at WDW I will NOT book again, even as a PPO.

I agree completely! The breakfast is overpriced for adults and the portions aren't worth the money IMHO. I would take advantage of your opportunity to order a la carte, order coffee/a cupcake/one or two kids meals to share, simply to get on the rides and experience MK before the crowds come in from RD. I was able to ride Peter Pan once and 7DMT twice before 9 am.

Sounds like I am the minority here, but I could eat their croissant donut every day for breakfast and be completely happy! We went twice on our most recent trip and ordered that every time. Being able to ride 7DMT twice within the park opening wasn't bad either. :) I never would have thought about only ordering a coffee to still get the PPO, that is a great idea!

Pre Park Opening.

I just preordered our breakfast for our trip next week - DD and I are both getting the open faced sandwich probably.

Would it be worth $48? Not in my opinion, but we're on the free QSDP so for one credit it's definitely worth it.

Their breakfast is good, I would not call it great, with one exception....the croissant doughnut thing is out of this world! I would say it is worth it if you have the dining plan and not worth if it paying out of pocket. Your table will get a plate of pastries with your breakfast. We can never eat all of the pastries and our breakfast. A little hint that I learned on the boards just in case you do go....take a baggie with you to put your leftover pastries in for snacks later in the park!

We loved it! Did it twice on our trip last October/November.

My two girls had the kids French toast, boy had the spinach/cheese eggs in pastry/croissant donut for me/ DH had open face. My DS was the only one who was iffy with his. He wanted DH's open face sandwich instead :)

We all loved that breakfast and still talk about it. Of course DH and the big kids riding 7DMT after twice helped!

I wasn't impressed with BOG's breakfast, but other people like it. I think it boils down to what your specific situation is. We were on the QSDP, so it was a good deal for that. I would NOT pay $24 + tax out of pocket for that breakfast. No way.
If you're paying out of pocket and actually want a decent amount of food at the Magic Kingdom, for just $6 more, you can do Crystal Palace where you'll get an "all you care to enjoy" buffet AND character interaction in a restaurant that I, personally, think is much prettier than BOG.
So yeah, I'd only choose BOG if on the dining plan and it was a PPO ADR that gets you to 7DMT ahead of the crowds. Otherwise, for a fun breakfast with plenty of food AND characters, I'd go Crystal Palace.

This whole thread is interesting to me. I have booked a PPO at BOG for September. We have free dining, so that's how I'm justifying the high prices. I love the idea of being in the MK prior to rope drop. Hoping to capitalize on that with a trip on 7DMT without a FP. I mainly just wanted to experience the restaurant though, I have not been since the opening of New Fantasyland. I do like the idea of just getting a drink, and taking advantage of the PPO.
