1. It's counter service so there is not a traditional waiter/waitress (just food runners that bring the food to you).
2. Are you talking about pre-ordering before you even get to the restaurant? You aren't required to do that. It's up to you if you would rather it take more time to be seated and served.

Ohhhhhh, I see now! Thank you for that clarification. Yes, I was referring to pre-ordering. Reservations shouldn't be required then. Or are they? Could I just walk up and order breakfast or do I need that reservation time?

Still need a reservation whether pre-ordering or waiting to order when you get there. Walk-ups might happen, but I wouldn't go into the day planning on it, and a wait would likely be pretty long.
We ate there for breakfast this summer without pre-ordering, and it was still pretty quick. You order from touch screens, and with a limited (but good, in my opinion) menu, it doesn't take long to get the food to your table.

Sorry you got that snippy response from someone about McDonalds. It would be best to pre-order, it will just make things quicker when you arrive for your reservation. But you will have the option of ordering when you get there. Either way, you still need the reservation.
You can *try* but you're taking a big risk. The reason you need an ADR for BOG even though it is quick service is that it's still hugely popular. It's about crowd control. It just doesn't work to treat it like any other QS location. It's sort of a middle ground between regular QS and Table service. It make sense when you think about it but it definitely looks odd at first glance. I hope that you have a wonderful meal. We're really looking forward to our visit to BoG.
