BoG Breakfast - worth it?

I know value is in the eye of the beholder so no one can really answer this for me, but I'd love experiences and opinions...

Is the BoG breakfast worth it? I just snagged a pre park opening reservation, but I'm still really struggling with the thought of paying $100 for a family of four to eat quick service scrambled eggs and cronuts. We've been in the park before opening before, and I do love that experience, but I also only want to do this if the breakfast experience itself would be worth while.

We're a family of 4 - kids aged 4 and 7, in case that matters.

Thanks!

I would argue no, but you don't have to order breakfasts for everyone. You can order 2 coffees and a cupcake and call it good if you want PPO and to see the place.

I was going to say the same thing. You can just go for coffee and the ambiance if you want to.

On the dining plan, it's worth it totally. I have a PPO ADR there in a month, but am on the dining plan.

Last trip, my DD and I went. I was feeling off that morning, so we just ordered one meal (the open faced sandwich) to share (I had two bites; was feeling not well at all). We still got a platter of pastries, so got a box for them to go (next time I'm bringing a ziploc bag - no way can we eat breakfast PLUS pastries). So if one person does want a breakfast, you'll still get the pastries, which is probably enough for the kids to munch on really.

So yes, even if you order one breakfast, plus another coffee or a couple drinks for the kids even, you'll spend a lot less.

So let me get this straight. If you schedule breakfast at BOG, you do not have to order a full breakfast for everyone - or anyone. Looking to do this for my DH and myself - and we definitely do not want to pay that much for the breakfast on their menu. We can get in early because we have preopening reservations (we are not staying onsite), and can just order coffee and pastry? Is this correct.

Thanks, Linda

BOG is totally worth it on the DDP. I wouldn't do full breakfast if I were paying cash (especially with multiple people). But yes, I think it's worth the ambiance, the PPO entry, and the possible rides before RDers.

You can order a pastry, but it would be a cupcake (The Master's Cupcake) for $4.99. Or you can just order two "hot beverages" for $2.49 each (coffee, as are all of them, are self serve). They also have cold drinks for $3.29.

You could just get a drink, then do some rides, then eat later if you choose.

My daughter and I are on the dining plan (free) and eating here is the best deal. Our lunch last summer was $52 if we paid out of pocket, and sadly it was way too much food! Breakfast we just preordered, and it's $48. I am not a big breakfast eater, but I'll do it this time (unless like last trip - we "shared" as in I took a bite since I was not feeling well after the rice krispie treat I devoured the night before from Goofy's Candy Co) since I don't want so many leftover credits (we took home 14 bags of snacks to use up our credits).

Oh, so to recap - you could order one breakfast to share if you choose. Like we did - we got the open faced egg and bacon sandwich. It comes with a plate of pastries (same if you order one or two entrees) and a drink. We took the pastries to go (they have to go boxes - just ask). It did feed us - if I were feeling better yes it would have been enough.

Wow - thanks for all the posts! We frequently split meals at other quick service but for some reason it didn't cross my mind to do it here. That's the perfect solution!

Last fall we ordered 2 entrees for our family of 4 and it was plenty of food with the (extremely mediocre) pastries. We were in and out in about 25 min with preordering.

The food wasn't anything special, but we enjoyed being in the park early for pics and a bit of wandering, plus 2 rides on SDMT before the crowds were let in. I've got a Reservation to do it again this fall.

If we have breakfast reservations for 8:15, what time can we get in the park? If the MK opens at 9:00, what time does the Mine Train open? If it opens early, are there any other rides open early too?

Sorry for so many questions, I'm usually pretty good with all this stuff but this is something we have never done before.

We enjoyed the BOG breakfast. When we went it was quiet. Yeah the pastries were mediocre, basically the same mediocre pastries you find at the buffets breakfast. I prefer BOG vs CP.

We never do the dinning plan we just never found value in it for us. If we are having breakfast at the MK we would go back to BOG and not CP.

We like BOG for breakfast, but I would not order a full meal unless I was using the DDP. Keep your ADR, but don't spend all that money. It will be well worth less money for the opportunity to be inside the park ealy.

I was disappointed in BOG breakfast. I wanted to LOVE it. The venue is awesome but really just felt like a really nice cafeteria. Very loud and crazy. I thought breakfast way overpriced for out of pocket..and THAT was before they raised the prices. My opened faced baguette was hard to eat..too awkward to pick up, too hard to cut..and arrived cold..gross. The early access was great and made it worth it...then..now with price raise..only if I split something and primarily for that access. Next trip we are trying dinner..hoping for a bit more BOG magic with that.
