BOG Breakfast-How Many Trips Through The Mine?

Today we left BOG at 8:30. At 8:35 they took about ten of us down from a line they formed with a CM with a sign (as described before in this thread).

We got three rides in before 8:51 when the crowd hit. Unbelievably fun experience. I would have been thrilled with one ride, so we felt like we hit the MK lottery. We got to ride in the front row once, which was awesome. The cars were never full on any of the rides. With our FP we ended up getting four rides in, which I'm sure will never happen to us again.

I liked the ride much better this year, I have to say. I don't know why....didn't feel as short and I enjoyed the whole experience more.

I walked over and got in line for 7DMT after my BOG breakfast and someone exiting and intent on riding again pushed right past me stepping on my foot as he made the sharp turn back into the ride line. He was in a frenzy. Probably trying to break the Dis record.

It wasn't me! I'm not a he. I did not see running or frenzy this morning. I thought it was pretty calm, actually.

I think early entry or just being in the ballroom has to be the only reason we would ever go back to BOG. Haven't had dinner there, but our lunch was so poor on our last visit, I still can't get over it. No quality control whatsoever, or even care while plating or serving the food. McDonalds presents a better sandwich and fries, imo...

I agree with you on BOG lunch. However, I really like BOG breakfast. It's not going to knock your socks off, but it's above average IMHO--better than the standard Mickey Waffles and Bounty Platter you get at the resorts. Plus you get an unobstructed, unhurried walk down Main St and the opportunity to take in MK in a way you don't get otherwise, the restaurant is nice and really very peaceful in the morning, and (in most situations, so far), you get at least a couple of 7DMT rides before the crowd gets there. The price is inflated, but I look at it like I'm paying $10 for breakfast and another $10 for the additional perks.

Cool! Thanks for the tip. Will have to give bfast a try. :)

Keep in mind too that you don't have to buy a complete meal for everyone, and especially if you only have two adults, splitting one meal along with the free pastries can be more than sufficient for a meal. That way you're only spending $20 total for 2 of you! Unfortunately if you have 4 people you still only get one pastry tray so generally if we have 2 people we get 1 meal, 3 people - 2 meals and 4 people - 3 meals. Or get someone a kids' meal in there (even though we have no kids home any more) - the basic scrambled egg/bacon/fruit one isn't bad for $13, plus gets you another beverage.

What if i have 9:05 reservation? They would have to let us in early to make the reservation,no? this is May 25th btw.
so if they let us in early, could we join the pre opening crowd to ride before the rope drop crowd, then go to our 9:05 reservation?

From what I've read/experienced (but keep in mind everything is subject to change from day to day) they allow anyone with ADR's from 8-8:40 all in together starting around 7:45-7:50. They ask people with 8:45-9:15 reservations to wait and then at 8:40(ish - just ahead of the main crowd), they allow them in the park ahead of the welcome show/regular crowd. If it works out this way, I would definitely do what you said and go to 7D first for a quick ride (you might wait a couple minutes at most and for sure wouldn't get a second ride before the crowds came) and then check in for your ADR.

that would be perfect if it works out that way.. we don't need to ride it a bunch of times, but once without waiting in a huge line without using a fp would be cool :)

Thank you all for this great information and the map with the locations marked. We tried to do this last summer when we had a pre park opening adr at BOG, but we didn't know what we were doing, when to arrive, or where to wait to ride. This time will be different! Looking forward to tryin again on Easter if they don't change the park hours. Thanks again everyone!

I believe with Extra Morning Hours being implemented the answer will be ZERO.

Do you guys think the Early Morning Magic will be every day though? I'm hoping like the evening one it's just once a week so this would still work on the other 5 days a week (assuming one hotel EMH as well).

Agreed, hopefully it will only once per week and one EMH. Just will have to careful when you get your reservation.

I agree. Per Kenny the Pirate's information on Early Morning Magic, guests with PPO ADR's will NOT be given ride privileges on these mornings. While it's obviously speculation on my part, I have a feeling that Disney isn't going to continue pre-opening rides on the other days. Only time will tell.

No,EMM will be on "select days"-we'll have to see what that means.

I personally think they will continue to allow BOG Guests to ride SDMT early on non-EMM days-we're talking a 10-15 minute time frame for one ride-not an hour time frame for 3 rides-I don't see a huge "conflict" here, but JMHO.:)

At the VERY least,my "GUESS" is that BOG Guests would be let on SDMT just ahead of the Maingate line on BOTH EMM and non-EMM mornings(even if not allowed to ride "early anymore on non-EMM mornings),so there may still be an advantage to BOG breakfast as it relates to SDMT.:)

We ate there March 5 pre-opening. We took our time on Mainstreet, stopping for a couple pictures. My son stopped at the sword and was able to pull it! We pre-ordered at BOG the night before. We had plenty of QS credits and it was our last day so we all ordered our own meal. Pre-ordering got us in much quicker and we were able to find a table in the West Wing, where we wanted to be. We ate, not quickly, and then when we came out there were already people on 7DMT and we re able to ride twice before the rope drop people came. I doubt there will be rides for ADR guests on EMM days. They may be allowed into the regular queue to wait so that they are ahead of the rope drop crowd and allowed on at 9, but that's all I would count on.
