BOG and adding a person to lunch

Ok, so I got a BOG reservation for lunch time. We have added an extra guest and of course I can not get a reservation for 7 or any combination that adds up to 7. So my question is do I just tell one in my party that they can't go or can they come along. I have one that is only going to order dessert anyway. Just wondering if anyone had an experience at lunch.

keep trying, people cancel all the time even on the day. If you already have 6 - leave that, you just need a booking for 1 within 15 minutes of your original booking, you can turn up together and you seat at any table you want anyway so no problem there.

You can sit at any table you want sometimes, and other times, a CM will seat you.

OP, if you do get that reservation for 1 and the latter happens, just tell the CM that you'll need a table for 7. I see no reason to think they won't accommodate.
