DIL just booked our BOG res as a party for four for January (busy marathon weekend) and didn't know she had to add GD who is under three as a fifth person. Now there are are no tables available for five pp.

I realize an infant is an extra person;) and likely not able to drag up a chair to accommodate us. We will keep trying to secure an ADR for five pp, having another shot with next portion of split stay soon.

DH & I will be doing BOG for dinner in October, so I told DIL she could remove us from the ADR but they really want all of us to dine together. If we do all show up for the ADR and they cannot accommodate all of us, with only my DS's family of three dining, wondering if we'd be charged the $10 for the 'fourth' person not dining or not?

You will not be charged for the fourth person since you are showing up. I am not sure how they handle the baby not on the reservation, but I would just show up and explain the situation to the host/hostess. The worst they can tell you is no :) Good Luck!

just show up... i did. I didnt know I had to add an infant to all my ressies.... oops lol I didnt have a problem anywhere

You are never charged the $10 no show fee unless no one from your party shows up. As long as at least one person in the ADR shows up, then no penelty.

I would just show up as well. Worst case scenario, you have to hold the baby. Best case they pull up a chair you can put the baby in. How old? When you say infant, I'm thinking like a few weeks old.

If you're in the park earlier in the day, stop by the restaurant and give them a heads up that you forgot to add the baby and see if they can do anything for you. With notice like that, sometimes they are able to accommodate better.

she'd love to sit on my lap thru dinner;)a cuddly kid but is of the 'vacation speak' infant (i.e. under 3 y.o.) vs a 'baby-baby'. Took her to lunch today was nice to have to just pay $1 per age! More places should follow that pricing policy imo.

The reason all people have to be listed is for fire code. If BOG is at capacity they will not be legally able to seat the extra person. You can go by at opening and see if they can make the change at the podium. Also, keep checking for reservations. Also, call and see if the dining cm can make the adjustment. Don't let them cancel what you have though. If they say that say no thank you and try again later.
