BOG ADR During MNSSHP, Worth it?

We are going to MNSSHP on 9/22 and reserved a 7:05pm ADR at BOG today when I saw they opened up. We currently have a 5:05pm at Tony's that night. I've heard very blah reviews on Tony's and loved our BOG experience/food when we went in 4/2014. Is it worth using some of our MNSSHP time for a sit down at BOG versus going to Tony's and maximizing our MNSSHP time?

BOG will take a good hour or more so if you're okay with missing the stage show and some ride time - then do it! BOG is great and I can't find one dang ressie the week of 9/14 so keep it.

MNSSHP is until midnight! Enough time since wait times are very low! you won't miss fireworks and there is a 2 parades so you're good!

I honestly would not book a dinner adr on a party night after 5:30pm.. Those tickets are too expensive to waste any time missing the party. We were able to get BOG dinner for our mvmcp night, but I made sure it was an early dinner at 4:30pm. BOG can take up an hour or even more. Those 5 hours go quick. You could be missing many other things. I would keep checking for an earlier ADR if you really want to eat at BOG.

You both bring up the points I'm debating with myself. Don't want my boys to miss out on something but also want them to experience BOG. thanks

What time is the stage show?

I agree with not wasting actual party time doing dinner @ BOG. As PP already said those 5 hours go very quickly & losing part of it for a meal is not something I would do. In the past we made dinner reservations no later than 5:30 on party nights.

I dont know how old your kids are, but after a long day (especially in the sun), 5 hours of party time until midnight is a bit much. We've always done a TS ADR on party night. Usually LTT. We wonder around a little, go to dance party, eat, watch parade, wander..go on a couple of rides, then head out around 10:30 - 11. We beat the crowds out, but still get a few trick or treats and have some fun. What could put really a damper on the night is rain (no pun intended)! It has to be pouring for quite some time for them to cancel. The party is really not too much more than lighter crowds, a special parade and a SMALL amount of trick or treating. An early ADR wont have you missing much....except maybe the stage show, which I thought was after 8....but I just asked, so maybe someone can give an accurate answer.

We would not spend party time dining at a TS restaurant because there are too many party exclusive activities - Boo To You Parade, HalloWishes fireworks, castle forecourt show, dance parties, trick or treating, meeting rare characters -that we have a hard time fitting it all in.

While we enjoyed dining at BOG, it is there all year round, but the MNSSHP only happens in the fall.

There is no way I would book this meal on a Party night For kids, unless they really want to meet the Beast, the Castle is the Castle. It is the same for Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner.

I know you have a BOG ADR for breakfast I think. I would keep that one and skip dinner. I would get to the park at 4:00 and have an early CS meal, and be ready at 7:00 when the party starts. There is nothing worse than anticipating how wonderful someting is going to be, building it into your plans, and then hearing "Can we leave now?" I did that when I booked the Princess Tea for my DGD and me to enjoy together. It was an expensive event, and one that I had built up in my own mind as something my precious Kady would love. She did not. It was really difficult not to be upset with her, but she was not the one who wanted this. I did. I said it was for her, but it was really for me. Over $225 later, and several hours of watching a pickle puss endure her tea, we left. SHe was as gracious as a 5YO could possible be when she really wanted to be back at the resort swimming with the rest of the family, but lesson learned for this Nana.

We are only going for the party but we got ADR at BOG for 7:45 pm. We figured we'll get into MK at 4:00 pm, we'll have time for the rides and we will watch the second parade and fireworks. We won't be able to return until late next year because of my husband's deployment, so we'll make the best of it this time!

There is no way I would spend time at a restaurant instead of at the party I paid a lot of extra money to attend.

Different option for me. Planning a late afternoon lunch at Tony's @ 1:45PM. Have a 6:40PM res at BOG with MNSSHP that night. Plan to just swing in for desert and a couple drinks and be out before too much of the party is gone. If you plan any deserts or snack during the party, this may still be an option.
