Body Glide

I bought mine at drugstore.com (the online drugstore). I found the price to be cheaper and they had different volumes and types.:thumbsup2

We purchased the BodyGlide from Sports Authority for $13 including tax. ( I had to ask because it was really hard to find anywhere else). I read a great tips thread ( I somehow lost it somewhere) where it had tons of AWESOME tips. I have no recommendation on whether to use it or not because we haven't gone yet.

Another tip that I found from the thread I lost was to buy a can of the spray deodorant such as Suave (can be sometimes picked up at the $1 store or around $2-$3 at Target/Walmart) Spray it on your feet in the morning right after your shower and again sometime in the middle of the day if you are taking a break in the hotel in the afternoon.

They said it worked really well. I have both (bodyglide for chafing) and Suave for blisters but might use a combination of both :thumbsup2

Thanks all for your ideas on where to get Body Glide. There are 6 stores close to either work or home that should have the product. Hopefully this will help my husband from getting blisters on his toes. The blisters were so bad last time we thought he would lose his little toe. He has type 2 diabetes so we need to be more careful of his feet now. T

Thanks for all the help.

You can get it at a sporting goods store, in the "runners" section. In my home town I got it at the Running Room. Its such an AMAZING invention. I was completely blister free during my last trip!!!!!!!

very interesting about the mens speedstick....had no idea that worked too! But i'd stick with the BodyGlide just to be sure.

I have always used BG for chafing but never for blisters. If he keeps getting blisters has he looked into different kinds of shoes? I know new balance you can get different withs that might make things better. I would also advice getting some performance socks not just plain cotten but the kind runners or bicycliest wear since they seem to know a thing or two about blisters.

the only thing with the mens anti perspirant is you cant really put it on your feet. The body glide lets your feet breath where as the Mennen dosnt. You should never put antiperspirant on your feet as your feet need to sweat in order to cool your body down. You could easly overheat. I live in a hot country and this is a well know fact here. Better to stick to the body glide if its blisters you are trying to avoid.:)

Quick question....when I went to Academy to get some Body Glide for this trip i noticed that there are now 2.....the original and one that says it heats up for pain. Anyone know how well the new one works for 1--for the original "glide" purpose and 2--for the pain purpose?

:)

Body glide helps my thighs from getting chapped but never helped my feet. Two years ago I had a blister the size of a small sausage that ran under all 5 of my toes on one foot with 4 days to go on the vacation. Not fun.

Last year, each morning I sprayed all of our feet with spray deodorant and we wore "moisture wicking" socks. They were awesome! I'd be sweating all over but my feet were dry! No blisters for anyone that trip!
