Anyone have experience with the boba carrier or the boba wind?

My son is close to 2, and I have a bjorn carrier, the one with the waist belt to help offload the weight. He is close to 30lb now, although he still fits, we will probably have to use it when boarding the airplane, so it will come with us to disney.
I'm thinking about the long lines etc, and him wanting to be carried.

Since the boba can be used on the back, anyone with experience comment on it?

TIA

on amazon, I saw a 3G and a 2G anyone know the difference besides $70?

thanks

I don't have a boba but have heard good things about it.
I have an Ergo carrier and LOVE it.

Maybe post this over on the Family board- there are many threads about carriers.

FYI- bjorns are supposed to be really bad for your childs hips. I would def invest in a more ergonomic carrier. Better for you and your son.

I just bought the Boba 3G for my little one on the way. I had read a lot of reviews comparing the Ergo vs. Boba vs. Beco Gemini and I decided to go with the Boba. Boba seemed to have the best reviews and seemed to work the best for parents of different sizes. (I'm 5'5 and my husband is 6 feet).

I don't think you can go wrong with either of these brands of carriers.

I got it in black so my DH can use the carrier too, but they have some REALLY cute Boba patterns out there.

I don't have a Boba, but I do have an Ergo. We took it with us to Disney last year for my one year old. I definitely recommend having some sort of baby carrier for little ones. It just made the whole trip so much easier. We ended up using it more than the stroller! I don't know anything about the Boba, but with the Ergo I loved that I could use the back or front carry. The front carry was great for keeping him comfy on my lap during rides. I have a wiggle worm, so I felt much better with him in it on rides like pirates or the safari. When he needed a nap I'd put him in the ergo and we were able to still enjoy our day. Nobody had to sit and wait with a sleeping baby in the stroller. For me, having him in the back carry feels like he weighs next to nothing (and he is not a light kid!). I loved the back carry for park days that were heavier on walking like Epcot or Animal Kingdom. Having him in a carrier while we waited in lines was nice because he didn't feel the need to hop between everyone's arms. It was hot and humid of course, but I don't feel like it made it any more unbearable than usual. The carrier was also amazing in the rain! As long as the rain wasn't too crazy I could keep us both dry under the umbrella (which I actually had an extra hand for). That would never work in a stroller of course. We'll be taking our ergo again this year. I love it and would never go to Disney with a little one without it!

I tried on all the big name carriers with my son at a local carrier specialty store before my son's first WDW trip (he was about 6mo). The Ergo and Boba are similar in the way it fits the adult, but I preferred the way the Boba fit the baby. It was the most comfortable for both of us. I still use it for ds now at 17mo.

I don't have any experience with the Boba but I have a Beco Butterfly II which I love :goodvibes

I also agree with the PP who mentioned steering away from the Bjorn, it is not a good carrier for baby or mom/dad
