Hi,

We will be staying at POR for the first time this coming November. We will be traveling with friends of ours and their three children. I am thinking of having dinner there on our first night and then having breakfast there on Thanksgiving Day morning.

Does anyone have any opinions? Looking for all feedback.

we think boatwright's breakfast is one of the best on property. also, close by is OKW and olivia's~another excellent breakfast. :earboy2:

Thanks for the quick reply. Anyone else care to share their experiances at this place?

Sweet potato cakes....mmmmmm

oh yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah.

I don't even like pancakes normally, but these are great. Kinda taste like a sweet potato pie for breakfast. They serve them with cinnamon butter and honey pecan syrup. YUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMY!

OMG! I can't wait to try these! I heard they were out of this world. I booked three breakfast mornings at Boatwrights because of these pancakes, lol. I hope they are as good as everyone says!

OOOH OOH and the Blueprint Omlette is incredible too. Boatwrights is the best breakfast I've ever had...seriously. If I want sweet, then the Sweet Potato Pancakes are top choice. If I want savory, it's the blueprint omlette with everything I could possibly ever want in an omlette and great taters. Dinner there is just ok, but the breakfast is fabulous! Hope you enjoy it!

Haven't had dinner there rcently, but we ALWAYS do breakfast at Boatwrights at least once each trip.
Ditto on the Blueprint Omlette. The best at WDW!!

Yes! The Blueprint omlette sounds delicious and I know my DH will be definitely getting that. Anyone ever had their Banana-stuffed french toast with strawberry sauce? That sounds pretty tasty too.

We have never had breakfast there but have had dinner there 2 times and loved it. Very yummy cornbread. Make sure you go to the lounge to listen to Bob "The Piano Man" Jackson. Great family entertainment.

Wow!. Thanks for all of the replies. I am feeling much better about scheduling meals here. I love sweet potatoes so those pancakes sound very interesting. Thanks again.

After reading Uncleromulus' reviews, DS2 and I have enjoyed breakfast at Boatwrights several times. Great choice. :sunny:

We haven't had breakfast there (a Pop Tart is plenty for us lol), but we had dinner there a few weeks ago. Dh had a prime rib which he thought was the best he'd ever had. I tasted it, also, and it was wonderful! I had a 4-cheese ravioli, and it was very good, as well. I wouldn't call it outstanding, but I made myself finish the whole thing (even though I was stuffed), and it was well worth the money.

Mind you, we are very simple people, and we don't like a lot of "fancy" foods, so this was right up our alley. If you are used to fine dining, you may not feel the same way we did. HTH!! :flower:

Hi,

I've been to Boatwright's twice for breakfast, alone on Friday, December 5, 2003; and with about 20 friends on Thursday, December 9, 2004. Had the sweet potato pancakes both times--so good that you don't need syrup.

Do you generally need ADR (PS) for Boatrights for breakfast, or is the wait reasonable? We're staying at PO in August.

Thanks!

Do you need a ps in October or could you walk up?

We walked up for breakfast over Spring Break- no wait. I also got a same day PS from a guest services CM for dinner at 5pm on the Saturday night before Easter. Once we got there, we realized....no one else was there so we didn't even need that. LOL. There were times it was crowded but I never saw it crowded for breakfast even though the breakfasts are fantastic :confused3 . Even when we ate there on Easter morning (with a PS) it wasn't at all crowded. I think so many people grab a quick bite and hit the parks in the morning that they miss out on the wonders of Sweet Potato pancakes and Blueprint Omlettes.

and am now craving it thanks to this thread. It was delicious. We walked in while we were there in Feb, no ps. I liked the smoothie and my DH enjoyed a virgin bloody mary. It was the best breakfast I've had at WDW. :goodvibes
