Yes the bread is gone! They now serve a flat type of cornbread. My husband and I just stared at each other. We did mention it to the server, he said it was a new change.

We ate at Boatwright's this past May for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great...had the banana stuffed french toast w/ strawberry sauce...Fantastic!!!

Dinner wasn't so great. My ds's burger was burned beyond recognition (we sent it back), and I had the pork loin w/potatoes and the pork was under-cooked. It was also pretty tough. I didn't care for it. I can't remember what my dh had...it wasn't memorable. I think for the money (the food was quite pricey!), we could have eaten somewhere else and fared better.

Definate thumbs up for breakfast though!!

They only had cornbread when we were there in May. There were no other bread options.

Does anyone know what Boatwright's usually does for Christmas Dinner? Do they serve a different menu or their regular one? Any feeling about how it is? We are staying at POFQ from 12/19-12/27 and are still debating Christmas Dinner. We have PS at 2 different places, but might enjoy a leisurely stroll over to POR instead of a drive to another resort. Thanks!

Loved the sourdough and hubby loved the multigrain. But it's gone now. I struggled after they stopped including the big AYCE salad that was tossed at your table with their wonderful smoke-house ranch house dressing. sometimes I could barely eat my entree after the salad and bread, and often would just get soup, while the rest of the family ordered entrees. But no more sourdough bread was the last straw for me.

I have to go with n2mm here. We stayed at DxL (sorry, old dog...) every year and always ate dinner at Boatwrights. When they took away the salad (well, made it an extra charge) and the great bread, well, we stopped going also. It was just too expensive. But when we did eat there, we always enjoyed it.

So, Mr Ben. We will be there in 30 or so days. Should we check and see if the great salad and bread are back? I agree with the poster that said that it is great that you took the time to ask us what we think about Boatwrights. Best wishes in your new position.
