I just made a late night 9:45 at Boatwrights! After seeing some recent dining reviews of it I think it's worth a try! We ate breakfast there a few years ago when they had their own version of Tonga Toast. We were the only people in the whole place which shocked me because it was so good! We will probably have to leave Epcot before Illuminations to get there in time, but that's ok.

What's your favorite Boatwrights dish?

We ate there last fall. We really liked the Jambalaya. However, we did not like the lemon pie type dessert - it was gummy. Service was very good, but then again, it wasn't busy.

Have a great time.

Beef medallions with "mac and cheese". LOVE their pecan pie, too. I plan to order the same again this October.

We had a very good dinner there this year. It was earlier in the evening, though (timed it so we were done by 8:30 to step into the lounge to watch Bob Jackson). Late at night is always harder on a restaurant, I think, because they are trying to finish up and go home too.

Loved the beef medallions with the grown-up "mac n cheese" (shells in a white cheddar sauce) and the corn bread. DH had a white fish with a spicy coating; I am not a hot food fan but he is and enjoyed it. His portion was HUGE. Desserts were sort of average, though.

We had a great meal at Boatwrights this past may...from the soup and salads to the dessert it was excellent! Pics and full review in my May 11 thread

When we eat there again in Oct I think we will order the same thing, DH loved the beef medallions with mac and cheese but I loved the veggie pasta dish. The banana bread pudding with rum raisin ice cream was out of this world

It was your dining report that made me decide to book it!!! I think I'll order the pasta dish you had...looked yummy!!!!

I actually moved the reservation to the day before so we won't miss illuminations. The new dinner time is 8:15. Does Bob Jackson perform all night or only at 8:30?

I am so relieved that you posted this thread.

We have ressies for Oct on our arrival night. I had been checking the reviews for this restaurant and wasn't thrilled with them.
Of course I know to take most of them with a grain of salt, as 2 of our favs get bashed beyond words. (WCC and CM for dinner)

I always tell people, "if you like the menu then go, don't take bad reviews to seriously. Unless there is a specific problem you hear over and over again".

So my mind is eased (thank you)....but now I am confused as I wanted the Prime Rib, however the medallions and mac&cheese looked fabulous!!!

We had a nice meal there last May. Very pleasantly surprised. There's a full review linked in my signature. I guess they replaced the sweet potatoes that came with the beef medallions with the mac & cheese - I'll have to go back again and try it with the m&c. :)

Yehaw Bob plays 8:30pm to 12am, Wednesday through Saturday.

ps. we ate at Boatwright's a few years ago and really didn't care for the dinner there, but that's just my opinion. I had some sort of steak. Breakfast is good there though.
