Can someone tell me what they think of Boatwrights? We are staying at POFQ and I know it is at Riverside but may be a good place for us to have dinner? The Fried Chicken, Filet and Prime Rib look right up my alley but have never ate at this restaurant. All thoughts would be appreciated! TIA!

We ate there a few years ago. The food was good but nothing superb. I'd recommend it for a quiet dinner.

We always stay at POFQ so end up going to Boatwrights all the time. I always get the prime rib (watch out if you have a late dinner though, I have had them run out of them on me before). It nothing extraordinary but the food is good and the atmosphere nice! My husband and I always enjoy it. HTH! :goodvibes

I ck out all the reviews and talk to some ppl. Heard a lot of good. So I'm happy. We r staying there to and I have ress for 9/7. I can't wait.

Boatwright's was ok food, but it was expensive for what you got. The line to get in was long and the wait time and cost were not justified by the food. However just next door is the Riverside mill and the food there was amazing. Create your own pasta dishes and pizzas were very good. The cost was much better and the atmosphere was really pleasant.

Not so much worried about cost as we are on the dining plan. Just looking for a close easy place to eat.

We eat at least one meal there every year, and have never had a problems with the food, or the wait.

I go to POR every year and quite frankly I was very disappointed with Boatwright's dinner menu. It is very limited and expensive for what you get. I will admit that it was probably one of the best pieces of filet mignon I have every had, but it was served on a bed of cheddar mashed potatoes. No salad and no veg. For the cost, and the fact that it was a moderate resort, it is not worth it. I am also disappointed they closed the restaurant for breakfast, because I thought that was where they had the better value.

You can go somewhere else and get just as a good of a piece of filet mignon and get a veg and salad for the same cost.

The closest comparison is it's a little like a Cracker Barrel for food quality - good but not spectacular.

Our personal experience: we went two years ago; had a 5:30 ADR, we were seated at 6:25 (not a great start to the evening). The food was horrible (I had the prime rib and sent it back three times and they still couldn't get it right); DH did not like his food (don't recall what meat he had, but he disliked the potatos immensely); the service was non-existent and it was so noisy being sandwiched between the food court and the bar with Bob playing the piano that we couldn't hear ourselves thing. We won't be going back...too many other places we'd like to try and way too many we enjoy eating at.
