My last trip to POR was over 8 years ago, when we had no problem getting into Boatwright's for breakfast or dinner. The three of us are heading back in mid-February - can we expect long waits at Boatwright's if we don't have ADR's?

We went there for dinner last year. We had an ADR for 5:30 and waited more than 45 minutes to be seated (and wish we had left--it was the worse meal of the trip and we won't be going back for dinner; we are trying breakfast next year because DH wants to try the sweet potato pancakes but we are not making an ADR; if it's too crowded, we'll leave).

Damn there must be another Boatwrights somewhere, cause we stayed at the POR thanksgiving week and days we didn't have ADR's we ate there (usually breakfast or dinner). We NEVER waited longer than 10 mins and the food was Incredible!

There could be...you never no.

Like I said, we are going to try breakfast. But we won't go back for dinner. The host was rude; our waitress was rude and the food was mediocre at best (I sent my steak back twice). It could have been an off night, but the two rude CM's will prevent us from going back.

We stayed at POR last April so we had one dinner at Boatwrights (and yes we had reservations)...I thought it was great! I'm surprised at the negative reviews I've read. I had jambalaya which was delicious, my son had the southern-style chicken and husband the steak. Youngest who ordered from the Kids menu had a hamburger pasta tomato dish which he loved as well as a build your own sundae. The cornbread that is served with your meal was also awesome (not quite as good as Hoop-de-Doo's but very tasty)...we had no complaints at all.

Depending on the crowd level wait times can be high. Last year we ended up changing plans at the last minute and waited about 30 minutes ( this was in October. ) I'd recommend an ADR especially if you are planning on going for breakfast as that time of day is wild!

If it's been a long time since you have been there, dinner has changed some. found the menu very limited and only so so on the taste and quality. Breakfast on the other had was as fantastic as I remembered it from a few years earlier.

Last February we ate at Boatwright's twice for breakfast. We didn't have ADR's either time. We waited 5 minutes for a table on one occasion and got seated right away the second time. The food court at POR was packed those mornings. I believe we were in and out faster eating at Boatwrights than at the food court. The stuffed French Toast is incredible! I highly recommend it.

We've eaten at Boatwrights for Breakfast 2 years in a row and
love it. It is one of our favorite breakfast places.
Love the Banana Stuffed French Toast, Lost Bread,
Eggs Benidicit, all are very good.
I would suggest trying to get ADRs because we saw
several guest turned away without ADRs because they
were booked up. On our last years trip we tried to get
in for breakfast on our last day but no availablity.
We would have to wait up to an hour and I was starving.
So we ate at the FC.
