Thinking about using TS for breakfast. We are arriving at WDW at 6:00am and staying at POFQ. Decided to visit DS first, but from other posters are a little leary of eating TS there. So decided to eat a good breakfast before we get there. Does Boatwrights' have a decent meal?? Or should we stop at the Boardwalk first or any other place. We've never been to WDW so are clueless. Thanks so much! :flower:

Boatwright's is a real breakfast favorite on this board! You can't go wrong with the banana stuffed French Toast, the sweet potato pancakes or the blueprint omelette. Enjoy!

ds12 swears it's the best place in the World for breakfast! Loves that French toast. AND it's a gorgeous place to go visit- you will really feel like you are away somewhere if you stroll the grounds. Be sure to go see the working press in the food court.

I agree--the banana stuffed French Toast is very, very good! Dh and I both ordered it, though it was so filling that we could have probably split one order. That breakfast was one of our favorite meals on the trip.

We ate there in Aug. I forget our ADR time, but it was pretty early, and Boatwright's was only half full. I asked our server if it was a slow day, and she said that it gets pretty busy later in the morning. You might want to make an ADR to make sure you get seated if you're having a late breakfast.

We love Boatwrights as well. You have to try the strawberries and cream appetizer (breakfast), you dip the strawberries in a sweet cream and then dip them in brown sugar-soooo good. Go for it-you'll love the down home taste!

Wow! Thanks everyone! We will definitely try Boatwrights for breakfast.   And I will make my ADR for 10 of us! :jumping1: :flower:

Since staying at POR last x-mas we have made 6 return trips to the world and 3 of those called for a special trip over to Boatwrights for some Sweet Potato pancakes, or Omlet, and occasional Stuffed French Toast. But the Sweet Potato cakes are the bestest. And will probably get eaten again in 2 days when we go again

My DH has been looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing. So he said click on this thread, we had never heard of Boatwrights' and we've never been to POFQ.

Well, now we're going. We decided the breakfast sounded so good we'll try it next month, even though we said no big breakfasts this year.
Thanks for the good comments.

J's m, Have never been to POFQ, but know enough to tell you that Boatwright's is at their sister resort the POR next door. We will just walk there after we check in, but you might want to go directly there instead. Of course if you want a beautiful walk come the POFQ first. ( I've learned all of this from beautiful pictures and info from this site.) Gotta love it!!!! :rotfl: :flower:

Hi,

I love Boatwright's for breakfast! The sweet potato pancakes have an off-the-charts yum factor (you won't need syrup) and will spoil you from regular pancakes (which you can also order).

I stayed at POFQ from December 8-15, 2004 and think it's the moderate that feels like a deluxe (I may revise that statement after staying this year at Wilderness Lodge). The smallest moderate resort with 1,008 rooms in seven three-story buildings nestled in the southern half of the Port Orleans complex, French Quarter is very compact; no room is more than a ten-minute walk from the main check in building.

Well at least in my book it's the best ever. I had Sweet Potato pancakes on two occasions and they were so rich and fluffy and good. I also had the blueprint omlette and it was fabulous! You can put as many toppings as you want in your omlette, sausage, ham, bacon, spinach, onion, green peppers, american cheese, swiss, cheddar, mushrooms, tomatoes, and I'm probably forgetting some, there may have even been broccoli (I think so). You can pick your favorite combination. I can see how this might be enough to share if you can agree on the all those toppings! Enjoy, it's really great!
