Has anyone had the chance to eat here? If so what did you think?? Preferably for breakfast? It seems to has some different choices for breakfast. Also seems to be one of the few places that you can get banana stuffed french toast. How was the food? How was the whole place in general? thanks!

It's my favorite place on Earth to have breakfast! I love the Blueprint Omlette and the Sweet Potato Pancakes mmm mmm mmm. Both are outta this world good. I can't have bananas so I haven't tried the stuffed banana french toast, but I've heard the mmm mmms from other tables and it sure looks good. I also saw the berries and cream and it looked wonderful.

Breakfast has always been our preferred meal at Boatwrights. The fresh berries and cream is awesome. Sometimes it actually seems more convenient and less expensive to eat here than grab breakfast at the food court.

We are staying at POFQ third week of August. If we want to stop in for breakfast, are ADR's recommended?

Maybe just because of free dining, but we've walked in for breakfast more than once. In fact I only made an ADR on Easter morn 2005 and even then I don't think we needed it. If I were coming from another resort, I'd make an ADR though. Even though POFQ is really close (10 min walk up the river, or is it down?) I'd still be annoyed if I walked over there and there was no availability. You could go to guest services at your resort and ask them to make an ADR for you the morning you want to go, just before you go and that way you wouldn't make a trip if there's nothing available.

It's my DH favorite breakfast spot. Unfortunately, without a rental car, it's next to impossible to get here for breakfast from the YC/BC :rotfl: I loved the cinnnamon/sugar rolled french toast :) and DH loves anything cajun flavored .... our girls enjoyed their waffles and pancakes :thumbsup2

We had supper there last year, we took the boat down from POFQ. It was very good and the service was great. I would recommend it to anyone, especially the NY Strip! :)

We had a lovely breakfast here on our last trip. Also staying at POFQ, and walked over around 10:00. We didn't have reservations, and waited maybe 10 minutes (but it was mid-Dec.- slower time). Fresh food, great service.

We have enjoyed having breakfast here as well. The banana french toast was great during our last visit. We didn't have ADR's either and were able to get in without much of a wait.

We also enjoy eating dinner here but you do need ADR's because they have turned people away in the past if you didn't have them.

Now it has been about 4 years since we have eaten here but we had breakfast one day (they had a skillet thing that was all you can eat) that was out of this world and they were very generous with the refills and helpings. We also had dinner there one night when DD was sick and I have to say both times it was awesome. If it was in a more centrally located place and I didn't have to go out of the way to get there, I would definitely go back. We didn't like the resort itself so I wouldn't stay there again, so I guess we won't eat there again.

Thank you all. I hope that we can get there dor breakfast. By the time I finish eating everywhee that I want to, there will be no time for parks :confused3.

Definitely make it a point to go! It is so good! I'm incredibly picky, and will be the first person to say if a place does not have good food, and believe me, it's great. Ask for Vivian to be your server, too. She's top-notch. princess:

But I have to give boatwright's a

We ate breakfast there last year and I was sick for the last two days of our trip. I had the steak and eggs as the entree. I also had the strawberries w/yogurt and brown sugar. Everything tasted great....til it all came up a few hours later.

I'm sure it was one of those 1 in 1,000,000,000 chance type of things but it's one place I'll never try again.

Sandy :)

Boatwrights is a must-do breakfast for me. I make a point to go there on every trip and I am usually staying somewhere else so I am driving over all the way over!! I've always had an ADR, but don't think I've ever needed it. I love the stuffed french toast and the sweet potato pancakes. I normally don't drink at breakfast, but I love Bloody Mary's and they had a "cajun bloody mary" on the menu for breakfast at one point and it was excellent.

I had breakfast there last December and it was very good. Had French Toast and bacon. Had them leave the sugar coating off as I am diabetic. They brough over warm sugar free Syrpe and the service was excellant. I would eat here again if time would allow it.

Oh I love that place. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is great. The service is great. And you can get there without a rental car, taxi. It is only like 10.00 to get from BC to POR. My parents did it for my birthday 2 years ago. We eat here every trip.

We have enjoyed both breakfast and dinner here. The dinner was very good, but the breakfast was out of this world. The banana stuffed french toast ranks as my favorite breakfast of all time. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the stuffed french toast at Kona is as good. DH loved his omelette, but after a bite of mine, he wished he had ordered the french toast.
