Boats to MGM and Epcot

Can anyone tell me the order they go? (i.e. from BWI to YC/BC to Swan/Dolphin)? Looking for both the MGM and Epcot route. It may determine which one we pick for the 2nd half of our stay.

I don't remember the boat route but many of the rooms at BC are closer to EPCOT than they are to the dock. Just check the stairs and back elevator and go out a side door.

I don't remember the boat order (stayed at BWV), but when we took the boat to MGM we got on at the SWan/Dolphin and I am pretty sure we went straight to MGM. We found that we liked to walk to both MGM, and EPCOt rather than take the boats.

We have stayed YC and Dolphin and as fun as the boats can be we got very tired of taking them and waiting for them. We liked being able to walk from the YC and only took the boat to MGM (would be a long walk). The walk from the Dolphin was much farther to Epcot so most of the time we waited for the boat. It took very long and with all the stops It took a long time. We were only there a few days before switching resorts and I never wanted to get on that boat again. I am sure some people think it is the best thing since sliced bread but I don’t.

Go with the YC.

Epcot Route
Swan/Dolphin
YC/BC
Boardwalk
Epcot than back

MGM route
Boardwalk
YC/BC
Swan/Dolphin
MGM than back

While we usually enjoy the boats, if you are in a hurry, they can be annoying at times. Each Friendship boat actually services both parks. So...

From Epcot you go to:
Boardwalk
YC/BC
Swan/Dolphin
MGM

And then it reverses on the way back...

MGM
Swan/Dolphin
YC/BC
Boardwalk
Epcot

So, you can get from Epcot to MGM and vice Versa just by staying on the boat. We like that from YC/BC you can just jump on a boat for a direct ride to either BW or S/D.

From YC/BC:
- to Boardwalk, jump on the Epcot boat
- to Swan/Dolphin, jump on the MGM boat

It can save a bit of walking if the boat happens to be right there!

When we were there late last year the boats hit Swan/Dolphin dock first, then BC/YC, then BW. Which one goes to Epcot and MGM depends upon the color flag you get on. Hope that helps!

Thank you all for the info. I will do either YC or BC as the 2nd half of our stay (1st 4 days will be WL Courtyard View). Now... how to pick which one of these! YIKES!

We too have stayed at the Yacht Club, Beach Club and the Dolphin. At first we used the boats all the time but like Tikiman said, after a while it got to be much easier to just walk then to wait each time you wanted to go someplace. I will say that in the late evening, if I was tired... BOAT RIDE it was... but the walk is so nice from the International Gateway.

You have made 2 good choices for your vacation resort, both are great and it's not going to be easy to just pick one. I stayed at the Beach Club first and then the Yacht Club and I'm going back to the Yacht Club again in May. Whichever one you choose... it'll be a great vacation...
