Boathouse was excellent tonight.

Dinner for 4 @ 6:30. Was seated on time at rush time on a saturday. I had steak and lobster and it was about what I would expect for what I paid and the location.

Wife and kids had no issues as well.

I have read many mixed reviews, but my sister in law had positive things to say, so we went. Were not disappointed.

We have eaten at boathouse twice in the last week. Food was fantastic. Lobster roll was good. A friend had steak and fries and it was excellent. The swordfish was super. We loved the atmosphere and service was attentive.

I love The Boathouse,granted I usually just go out to Dockside Bar,but the atmosphere at Boathouse is so fun with all the themimg and the Amphicars coming and going,the live entertainment,etc.

I am having trouble picturing the location. Do you take an amphicar to the restaurant, or are the cars just an extra you can pay for?

The amphicars are right next to the restaurant. Anybody can ride them. You walk up to the restaurant just like every other establishment at DS.

For some reason I thought that you took teh little cars to the restaurant, but then I saw posts that suggested otherwise. I have not been to DS in a few years so I am having a little trouble getting my bearings.

You'll have even more difficulty getting your bearings once you get there! Seriously, this whole area has been totally changed. You would have to work really hard to figure out where this used to be. Basically, if you recall Please Island from 10 years ago, this would be down the base of the hill (i.e. near Portobello or Raglan Rd).

We ate at the Boathouse in October and November and had very good food both times. DH had the stuffed Lobster Tail and I had the Filet with crab. Very very good! (We each had the same meal both times).
