We have the deluxe dining plan this December and have never eaten at either of these restaurants. Which would you recommend and why?

I can only speak to Boathouse. The food has been good to very good, as has been the service. The ambiance is casually refined with a nautical flair. Inviting, open bar area and there is plenty of seating outside. Overall, the reviews have been slightly better than STK across most social media sites. While those don't reflect any one person's individual experience, taken as a whole, they do paint a picture. I've twice had the beef carpaccio at the Boathouse, and it's a simple, yet exquisitely delicious dish, so I highly recommend it. We've had a couple of their salads which have been large and quite nicely prepared, as well, such as the wedge salad which is excellent. No doubt many would prefer STK, and it may very well be a topnotch restaurant, too, but I prefer the more airy nature of Boathouse, as well as its more extensive seafood offerings. Hope you get more recommendations.

Boathouse is one of my favorite restaurants. We typically go there when we are not on the dining plan because they have several reasonably priced items that are really great (chicken, coconut shrimp). We are going in May and I'm struggling with using our dining plan credits there because it is a 2 credit venue. IF we are hungry enough for a big seafood dinner, then it is probably a very good value. For food and atmosphere, you can't go wrong. We have not eaten at STK but walked through last time we were there. It's nice, but feels like a NYC restaurant. Boathouse is on the water and the rooms are lovely.

Boathouse was my families least favorite signature dining experience. Definately not worth 2 meal credits. Kind of reminded us of a fancier red lobster. Never been to the other.

My wife got the lobster roll. Son a steak. I got the burger and can’t for the life of me remember what my daughter got. Most of our food was cold. The fries seemed like they sat out for hours. We have only been once and I do understand even our favorite restaurants sometimes come up short.

I went to STK during Magical Dining month this past September, but I didn't even think it was worth that $35! We were seated upstairs, and it was extremely noisy. My steak had no flavor, and I just did not enjoy the Parmesan Truffle fries we added on. We also had an extra side of Mac and Cheese (was jut plain at that time) and it was on the gummy side. I will not be going back for quite a while. Too many other places to try.

I will say that is why I like going to WDW in September. A chance to try new restaurants for a lower price point, and it is for charity!

I have never been to STK, but The BOATHOUSE was absolutely incredible yesterday!!

Haven't done STK, but did the Boathouse in Dec and it was excellent. I had the baked crab stuffed lobster. And I'm having it again in May.

We have never eaten at STK but I will put another strong vote in for Boathouse. We ate there last week and my Lobster Bisque was very good and my husbands Lobster Roll was up there with ones he has eaten when we visit New England. The staff were very attentive. The atmosphere was nice and romantic enough to feel like we were on a semi-date for Valentines Day but my children were not out of place and were made to feel welcome as well.
