We are arriving for a five day trip on Aug 8 and staying at the All Star Movie hotel. My question is will we be able to use the boat transportation at all? It sounds like fun and am wondering if there is any way to catch the boat to go to any of the parks?

Well if you take a bus from one of the other parks to the TTC you can take the ferry to MK. There are boats that go between Epcot and MGM. If you want to go from MK to WL or FW for a meal you can take a boat. You can take the small launches from MK to GF or the Polynesian for a meal, too.

We love the boats. Have fun!

well....
alot of times the boat transportation is a great way to view/eat/shop at other resorts...

for instance....lets say you spent a hectic morning in the MK....and are looking for a nice break...well take the boat over to one of teh MK resorts and enjoy shopping or lounging on the beach....
or you just spent a day at EPCOT....how about taking the boat over to the boardwalk to do some shopping and eating or even a round at mini golf...you can then board another boat to MGM for the evening....

Overall try the boats out...the only downside would be the fact that it is generally slower then the buses...sometimes that can be relaxing or too time consuming...either way...you'll enjoy your boat ride....

unfortunatley....you...meaning anyone at the All Stars....can't catch a boat directly to the parks...but as I said above...there are plenty of ways to utilize this water transportation...
