Boat to DTD from POR

A couple of questions regarding this boat ride to Downtown Disney from PO Riverside:

What are it's hours of operation? We have a 9pm dinner reservation at Capt. Jacks in mid March.

Where does it drop off / pick up? (Is Capt. Jacks near the dock?)

I think that Capt Jack's is right near the boat dock. If I'm not mistaken Capt Jack's is on the right hand side and the Rainforest Cafe is on the left.

The hours of operation I expect vary season to season. I can't recall for certain what time the boats stopped running but I think it was 11pm and they Captain was recommending being at the dock no later than 10:30 to ensure we got on the last boat. That was Halloweeen week. I have no experience with March.

Transportation to Downtown Disney. Boats depart daily from French Quarter every 20 minutes from 11:00am to 4:00pm. and every 10 minutes from 4:00pm to 11:00pm. Due to popularity and limited seating capacity, you may experience an extended wait before boarding. All guests may have to exit boat at the destination and reboard at the queue line for return trip. The boat dock is in the back of the hotel property.

We LOVE taking the boat from either POR or POFQ to DTD, and that is the only transportation we will use. The trip is way more relaxing than the buses and some captains are entertaining. Runner 26.2 is correct, Captain Jack's is only steps away from the boat ramp (its actually located on the dock - turn right as you leave the boat ramp and you'll see it). As the quote Dan Murphy provided says, boats can sometimes fill quickly and we have sometimes had to wait for another boat. There's usually a second boat arriving within 10 minutes or so, but you don't want to cut it too close if you have reservations. For a 9 PM dinner reservation I suggest catching a boat at about 8 - 8:15 PM from POR.

How long does it take to get to Downtown Disney from POR by boat?

It is about a 15 minute ride. If you miss the last boat, just ride back on the bus. You will also be near the bus area.

Just the information I needed. I really DON'T want to stroll around DTD so the fact that it's next to the Dock really works for me.

It gets crowded for that last boat time so make sure you get their a little early if you are catching around closing time.
The ride is really nice at night.
