Boat Launch Sign Question...

Our first camping trip to Disney was June 2005 and the sign at the boat docks with Mickey and the Musket was still there, thankfully we took a pic of it. Our next trip was June of 2007 and it was gone. What was the reason for taking Mickey down?

Probably because the musket is no longer PC.

I'm still trying to figure out where all this political correctness came from ???
I know my parents weren't PC about every thing in life, I wasn't raised that way,,I didn't raise my son that way,,so how is it always shoved down our throats ?
Pretty soon they'll take away Mickeys walking stick for fear he'll beat something with it.

I think there is something to the fact that Musket Mickey is being phased out, but also it was starting to show it's age.

Mickey's not allowed to bring his gun to work because Disney is exempt from the new weapons at work law. Something to do with fireworks . . . . .
