How often does the boat arrive to take you the MK? Is it worth the ride or should we take the bus?

They come pretty regularly if memory serves. I don't recall ever really waiting for a boat...a few minutes at most. We always took the boat in the morning and at the end of the day. It was wonderful!!:thumbsup2

Boat is the best way to go to MK.

We loved the WL boat ride. We took it many, many times during our stay at WL. It was quick, not choppy and I don't think we ever waited more than 5 mins. for it and we were there in April (Easter break). Even the kids found it fun on the way over and relaxing on the way back.

That was our experience as well. Much more enjoyable than a bus too. :thumbsup2

The bus is faster.... It's not as pretty or as much fun as the boat... but it is faster. It all depends on your preference.

One evening we waited a good amount of time for the boat to come back but I'm inclined to think we must have just missed it. Either way there was quite a line of people waiting to board and if memory serves, it's the loading and unloading of people that takes forever. The ride is long and slow going but it IS very pretty and a nice change from from buses. However, the bus I think is faster. :)

The boat to the MK is one of the best things about the Wilderness Lodge. We've never had to wait more than 15 minutes, and even so, it's a pleasant place to stand and admire the view.

We've stayed at the Lodge many a time and we used the boat alot, never really cared where it was going, one way or another it would make it to the MK, some times we got on the boat that went to FW first, okay by us, no big schedule we're on, and we roam around, hit the Settlement Trading Post, see the horse barn and catch another boat, if we end up at the Contemporary, we peruse the resort alittle and just walk to the MK. If we're in a hurry to catch a parade, we get the correct bus headed just to the MK, only 2 boats dock here, I believe, green and blue flagged and the signage is well placed, trips only 10-15 minutes, boat doesn't rock and is a great ride with alot to see.

I get sea-sick easily. Is it a really rocky boat ride?

No not at all. It is not allowed to go fast. does not rock at all. I've never had to wait more than 15minutes for one and it takes a total of 7 minutes max. we love it.
