I've hard that there is a boat between Hollywood Studious and Epcot. If this is true, where is the boat located?

Thanks.

If you are in the UK pavilion in the WS instead of going left over the bridge toward France go right down to the exit that takes you to the BC/YC and BW. After exiting through the gates the boat dock in directly on your left. This boat will make stops at the BC/YC, BW and the Swan/Dolphin before going to DHS. If you are coming out of DHS instead you will make a left after going through the gates and find the boat dock there. Hope that helps.

As you leave DHS the dock is down to the far left. The Friendship boat stops at the Swan & Dolphin dock then the YC &BC dock then the Boardwalk dock before continuing to EPCOT. It is a relaxing way to travel if not speedy.

Those are the friendship boats. They go from Epcot to DHS with some stops in between at the Boardwalk area resorts but they take a long time.

I almost always just walk between the two. The walk along the canal that connects Crescent Lake to DHS is one of the hidden gems on property IMO.

Absolutely agree. Love the walk down the canal. It's one of the most peaceful places in WDW.

I can remember in 2009 we decided to take the boat from Epcot to DHS...what a mistake! If it hadn't been 100 degrees that day with no breeze it may have been fine, but we'd never done it before and decided to go for it. There's no air conditioning and I'm thinking that it was an enclosed boat with windows that open a bit ( I'm a little fuzzy on that since I almost passed out from the heat! ) So if you're not in a hurry and the temp. is reasonable it's a nice ride through the resorts to DHS.

The friendship boats are enclosed. They go from Epcot -> BW -> BC/YC -> S/D -> DHS (DHS -> S/D -> BC/YC -> BW -> Epcot on the return trip). If I remember correctly, the operate for one hour after closing. So if DHS closes before Epcot, they cut off that part of the loop for the remainder of the evening (Epcot -> BW -> YC/BC -> S/D -> YC/BC -> BW -> Epcot).

Walking would not have been much better as that walkway is certainly nice and peaceful but has barely any shade.

The windows on the boats do not open. They used to, but they've all been sealed now. The only open areas would be at the front and the doors, where the passengers cannot control what is opened.

The boats do have air conditioners - they just don't work very well.

My daughter and I take the boats all the time. It may take a little bit of time but it is a nice way to rest your feet and relax for a few. We always try to get at the very back so we are outside the enclosed area and we can get the breeze in the summer and in the winters we sit in the enclosed area to get a bit of warmth. :smickey:

I walk during the cooler months, this time of the year that walk will wear you out.Even a boat with weak A/C is better than having to do that walk with heat indexes over 100.in January or February I walk even if the boat is there just about to leave, another option is to grab the bus at the front of Epcot.

This is pretty much that same experience we had in Aug 2009. It was hot and we were miserable. To add insult to injury, we tried to get off at Epcot (we came from DHS) and were promptly told we couldn't enter because we didn't have park hoppers. D'oh!! I think we ended up walking to the Boardwalk area and getting on there back to DHS. It was a bit of a nightmare at the time, but we can laugh about it now.

I just do not understand why they have sealed them shut? Those boats are like ovens in hot weather!

It's not bad sitting out on the seats in back, but inside is a different story - even standing right in front of the fan doesn't help.

Two possibilities: either some genius decided the A/C wasn't working because guests were opening the windows (WRONG!), or to cut the cost of maintaining the window latches.

Thank you so much everyone! Especially Robo for the map! Greatly appreciated. :)
