Boat at the Poly?

I thought I had read somewhere that there is a boat that runs from the Poly to MK. Is there? Does it go to any other resorts? Would it be the same amount of time as the monorail or does it take longer? Thanks for any info.

There is a small launch. It goes MK/GF/Polynesian/MK in a continous loop. Sometimes it's faster, other times it's not. Depends on many factors. It fills pretty quickly, so sometimes you can't get on during peak hours. Also it doesn't run in bad weather.

Not to second guess you Anne but 2 weeks ago I saw that boat out in all kinds of bad weather, I remember telling DW that those people were nuts!!! Oh well, maybe it was just that one storm, but you wouldn't get me on it anyway in bad weather.

It will run during rain, and even some lightning. But when the wind gets too strong it will stop.

When we were there they had some powerfull thunder/lightning storms. They stopped the boat service when it was just too dangerous. I thought the boat also went to FW and WL? I know we took the boat to MK and to FW for Hoop De Doo. You know, it hasn't been that long but I just don't remember if we changed boats at MK or not. anyway it is possible! (a senior moment)

Yes, you would change boats at MK to get to HDDR.

Thanks for the info! DS is in love with boats so maybe we will take the launch when we go back to the Poly for a break instead of in the morning. It might be less crowded then. Does anyone know what building it docks by at the Poly?

The dock is located at the western end of the hotel, by the marina. It's closest to Fiji, Tuvalu, and Aoeratoa (sic).
