Well we just got back yesterday and it sucks to be home.
Who went on the trip?
Myself, my DH, our 19 month old DD, my 8 yr old nephew and my Mom.
Day 1-We left on Memorial Day and got to The Boardwalk around 1pm, we requested early check in and got it. We were all settled in by 1:45pm. My DH put our DD down for her nap and my Mother, myself and my Nephew went to the pool. I ordered a Tilt a Whirl and it was yummy!! The weather was gorgeous around 95 degrees and I just baked in the sun while my nephew went down the keister koaster a few hundred times. After my DD got up from her nap we strolled into Epcot and hit some rides and watched the British Ivasion in the U.K. they were a pretty good Beatles cover band even though I don't really like the Beatles. They were around LONG before I was born
but my Mom wanted to see them. We grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Electric Umbrella, finished up some attractions and went back to our room to get some sleep.
Day 2- Went to the MK, grabbed a turkey leg in Frontier Land (that's a tradition of ours) hit some rides, grabbed some fast passes, shopped and went back to the room around 1pm to nap the baby. DH stayed with her again and napped also and I went back to the pool with my nephew. The hot tub was heavenly. Went back to the MK at night and had practically no wait times. Philharmagic was awesome. By far the best 3D show in the parks. Watched Wishes which was as good as everyone said it was. When Tink flew from the castle I had tears in my eyes. It was beautiful. Went back to the room and put the baby to bed. DH and I went to ESPN for a few drinks and apps.
Day 3- Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe, not as good as Chef Mickeys but we had a good time, then My nephew and I went to AK and did ITTBAB, Dinosaur and a few other things, we left and went back to the room. While our DD napped, my DH and I rented a boat and cruised around the lake. We were surprised at how slow the boats went, we were expecting more than 5 mph, it was fun. At night we all went back to Epcot to see the World Showcase, we watched the acrobats from China. They were amazing to watch. We went to Downtown Disney to shop later that night and had a wonderful dinner at Fultons Crab House. It started to rain so we caught some more shopping and went back to the room, put the baby to sleep and my DH and I went to Jellyrolls. We had a great time.
Day 4- Back to the MK hit the attractions that we missed the second day of our trip. Napped the baby and swam. Brought the baby to the pool and swam with her. At night we all rented one of the Surrey bikes and got a kick out of how everyone had to get off and push the bike when they were going up the hills. My DH was determined to get us up the hills and made me laugh as he used all of his force to pedal up the hills. I was pedalling too, but laughing cause of his determination not to have to push. Those bikes are hard. We went around the Boardwalk 3 times.
Day 5- MGM studios, went on pretty much all the rides except for TOT, we ate at the 50's primetime cafe and it took me a while to figure out why the waitstaff were being so nasty to us, but once I figured out it was part of the act I thougth it was pretty funny. I had a good lunch and a really good Keylime Margarita. Star Wars stuff was pretty cool, I liked seeing the Storm Troopers on top of the MGM studio entrance. I got the best fudge and peanut butter covered apple. I could only eat half of it cause it was so rich, but what a yummy treat.
Day 6- Went back to all the parks to finish up what we had left to do. Went to MK against everyone's advice and what a nightmare. It was far too crowded and I saw some really offensive shirts, I was surprised Disney lets people in their parks with some of the sayings on shirts that I saw. Went back to the room to go to bed early for our trip home the next day and was treated to a rave party over at MGM studios that sounded like it was in our room until 3am. (see my post on DVC entitled, less than thrilled with the Boardwalk. )
Day 7- Woke up, got a coffee on the Boardwalk and left for the airport. So sad!
