Are all of the rooms at the boardwalk renovated? I was there years ago when the clown slide was still there and the rooms were just ok. I am choosing between that and Wilderness
The ease of the option to walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios is wonderful. The boat transportation from Wilderness Lodge is slower than the buses so you have no real transportation advantage. It is gorgeous, especially at Christmas, but the lights around the hotel on Crescent Lake are also gorgeous at night.
WL is one of the last Deluxes for us to try so my response would be biased; maybe we’ll get there one Christmas . Interim, Boardwalk, is my current favorite so that is our go to for many of the same reasons listed above with one difference: easy access to Flying Fish.
All updated but imho the updates WL were better as they included pocketing the bathroom door and rain shower heads. (Both of those were skipped out in the Chapek-Era BWI remodel )
That said BWI rooms are obviously in better shape now with raised beds and access to EP & DHS is hard to pass up on if you aren’t MK focused. How long is the trip? If it’s like a week I’d consider a split stay WL/BWI as Disney will transfer bags- but I know that’s not for everyone.
BW for easy access to Epcot and HS. Also lots of food choices if you include the Swan and Dolphin and the Riviera is only a skyline ride away! In my opinion the Riviera has the best Quick Service on property.
