Hello all,
First, I'd like to thank everyone for all the wonderful information! You all have been a huge help!! :cool1:
So, we have been "penciled" in at the Wedding Pavillion for Sept 3, 2007. Now we are trying to decide between the Boardwalk ballroom and the Beach Club ballroom for our reception. Can anyone give any advice or pro/cons???
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!!

Anyone?? please??? I guess I shouldn't feel stressed about making this decision, but I'm feeling the pressure!!

Sorry...I can't really help because we didn't have a reception.

Many brides have selected Atlantic Dance Hall as a reception location and Ariels at the Yacht club is also a popular choice.

Both of those locations are very close to both the Boardwalk and the Beach Club (within walking distance) and you might get more feedback on those!

Good luck!

The location you choose might depend on the number of guests and availability for that particular day and time. Have you asked your consultant about where you might fit best?

Thanks for the replies! We actually are limited to the ballrooms of the Y&BC and BW. I'd love to have our reception at Ariel's, but our guest list is about 130 :confused3
Also, does anyone know when is the earliest you can book a ballroom or know if or where you can find out a convention schedule????
thanks for all the help :cheer2:

Ballrooms can be booked 8 months in advance. I don't know if this helps but Atlantic Dance Hall can seat up to 170. We will be between 130 - 160 people and we chose ADH. It's on the Boardwalk and very pretty. You can also book it at 12 months out instead of 8.

HTH :wizard:

We've thought about the Atlantic Dance Hall, but we are having a brunch/lunch reception and we weren't sure if ADH was too eveningish. I've only ever been there once and that was probably about 6 years ago. If you've been there recently,I'm open to any input on having a lunch there.
Thanks :wizard:

We are also a brunch reception (we want an Epcot ceremony) and when we were in ADH on our last trip (2 weeks ago) we looked at it with a daytime reception in mind. Initially, I was leaning towards Yacht Club Ballroom because the thought of a dance hall/night club did not appeal to me, but it is so elegant and pretty as soon as we walked in I knew I wanted to switch. When Pam took us to look at the Yacht Club we thought it was pretty but it looks like every other ball room we've ever seen - the ADH just had an extra sparkle to it. Of course, I am biased ;) but I really do think you should consider it.

Dannirose- thanks for that info! :cool1: now it looks like we have another option to think about. I didn't really like the "convention" look of having the reception in the ballroom. We were about to make the choice of the St. James room at the BW, it does stand out bc it has a patio. I'm going to try to find some pics of the ADH and seriously consider it now. Thanks for your suggestion!!!
Where in Epcot are you having your ceremony?

The Italy courtyard.
