Hello!!
We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas for the first time next summer. We will be staying in a deluxe studio. I've been having a hard time finding any specific guidelines for best rooms to request so I thought I would start a thread on here to see if anyone has any recommendations. I know we won't get a great view but if anyone has any ideas please let me know and please tell me why that room was great. Thanks!!

Have zero idea of what you want to see. What do you consider a good view?

If you have a pool/garden studio, you might request Village Green. That's the grassy area between the villas and the Inn. You can see a bit of the BW from there. Unless you want a pool view, then request Luna Park (themed pool) or the leisure pool.

What if they have a standard or boardwalk view category?

What room category will you be booking?

I will be booking a standard view deluxe studio.
The only view preference is that I don't enjoy staring at a parking lot.
The room recommendations could also be because they are convenient to buses or the lobby. Just curious

If that is a cash reservation through Disney Reservation Center, my suggestions will still work. A cash reservation is usually garden/pool view. If it is a points reservation, you don't have much choice, other that to get a higher floor away from the elevators to be away from the luggage loading/unloading for DME. And you will be looking at the parking lot. That's the trade off.

Thanks for the info. We are booking with points so that kinda stinks but oh well, I'm still excited to be staying at the Boardwalk!

Are there any other advantages of requesting "pool view" ie is pool view closer or farther to the elevators than the village green? We will have 2 2BR's. Also, we will have a Boardwalk view studio. Anything we should request for that room? Thanks in advance!

I have stayed in a standard view studio at BWV which did not look directly on to the parking lot. It was the far end of the building, on the other side to the quiet pool, right at the end of the corridor (first floor). The room was just a couple fo doors away from the fire exit, which came out by the tennis courts and right on the walking path to Hollywood Studios - it really was a great location. I didn't actually make any requests for that trip so I wouldn't know what you could ask for other than maybe requesting specific room number(s).

not really - cash reservations are pool/garden because standard (& BW) view can only be booked using points, so you are paying a LOT less & getting a room unavailable to cash guests
:)

For a points standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. It gets you away from the noise of the building entrance and you get a fireworks view, assuming there is not a tree in the way. There is not a direct parking lot view. Not bad for the points savings.

What room to request for shortest walk to things? Carrying a toddler during long unnecessary walks sucks. I have standard view. We will be walking to pool and epcot.

I believe Village Green is studio only. I personally like overlooking the main pool (facing the clown). Room facing Main pool area is louder during day than other areas. I personally don't mind the longer walk since the hallways tends to be quieter with less people walking by.

I would request first floor if you have a stroller. You could use the exit by the pond to get to the bus stop or parking lot or go the other way for pool or Boardwalk.
