hey! this is my first time staying at the boardwalk villas and i was just wondeing if i could get some tips and pointers from anyone who's stayed there.
Thanx Alot!!

My husband and I have stayed at the BWV twice and my sister & I will be staying there in September. It is a lovely place to stay and quite convenient to MGM and EPCOT. We have stayed at Old Key West and Caribbean Beach and must say that while those are excellent choices too, we absolutely love the BWV! The only bad thing about it is if you happen to be at the very end of the hallway. When we were there in October, we had to walk four miles (so it seemed) to get to our room. It was very far away from the elevators and we had our parents with us. It was a trek but we made it every day. I have no complaints about the views.

It's nice to have a kitchen even if you just use it for snacks and such. It saves quite a bit of money!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

GREAT 1 & 2 bedrooms have a full kitchen and living room, along with a washer and dryer. Super location with lots of room .

As amykay stated you can save quite a bit of money even without cooking.
We are DVC members and use the kitchen for breakfast and to make lunch. The oven is very handy for reheating pizza LOL. Make sure you stop on the way to BWV and stock up on drinks and snacks, etc. Even if you don't want to make lunch, just grabbing a drink on the way out can add up quickly at 3.00 a pop.

We eat breakfast in the room and make lunch to take with us, I figure it saves 45.00 a day. We always go out for a big sit down dinner and give back all the savings.

Welcome to the DIS.

I have a ton of pictures of the Boardwalk Villas, you can find them HERE. There are several links at the top of the page that will show you around the resort and villas. :)

Laura - Great pictures!! I'm a DVC Member and the Boardwalk is my home resort. Just seeing those pictures brings back wonderful memories of time spent there.

I'm going back in August and I'm just counting the days!!

I am also an owner at the BWV and one of the things I have learned through the years is to get off the boat back from MGM at the Swan/Dolphin and walk back across the bridge to the Boardwalk. It save a lot of time. Also, since it seems like everyone gets on the boat at the Boardwalk, sometimes it is faster to walk over to the Swan/Dolphin to get on the boat. It is also faster to just plain walk as well.

Have fun. It is great resort.
