Boardwalk Villas

The only two-bedrooms left at the Boardwalk Villas are preferred view. Can anyone tell me what about the views? Would you make a request and if so, what would you request?

The preferred view is either a Boardwalk view or a view of one of the pools. Most likely it will be a pool view. There are very few Boardwalk view rooms and I would guess DVC members get first chance at them. I am a DVC member and have had both the preferred and standard view rooms. The standard view rooms look out over the entrance or the canal. If you are wanting a Boardwalk view, you might fax a room request 3 or 4 days before you visit and request it. Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. We have found that we have enjoyed both views. The Boardwalk is a wonderful resort.

This is our "home away from home" and we always get a perferred view. Because of the possibility of noise we always request 3rd to 5th floor with a view of the quite pool. We definitely do not want the Boardwalk and have tried to stay away from Luna Park(pool). Some people have posted here that with the balcony doors shut you can not hear the noise, but we do not want to take the chance. We love the Boardwalk and almost any view you have is a good one.

We didn't hear a thing when we had the doors shut, and overlooked the middle of the Boardwalk. I was concerned at first, also, but even at it's busiest on a Saturday night we didn't hear any outside noise after the doors were shut. It really was a wonderful view and we could see the Illuminations fireworks from our balconey.

Hi,

We are staying in a standard 2 bdrm in August. My question is this ... Is it truely a long walk lets say from your room to Luna Park and the Boardwalk? We've stayed at the Inn before and just love the Boardwalk and everything around it.

It depends. There are some Luna Park view & Boardwalk view rooms that are close to the elevators. There are also some that are far away. The elevators are close to the lobby, so looking at the length of the Boardwalk, you could be that close or that far. Luna Park is shaped like a horseshoe. The elevators are in the middle, so you could be close or out on the ends. Quiet Pool rooms are all pretty far out, but considering all the walking you do in the parks, it's not that bad.
